Please help! I can not seem to control my mouse...I think it is possessed

My mouse has a mind of its own ...I can not make it stop moving around all over the place...I must click escape just to get some little control to keep from running into things or to click on anything...I need to know how to make it stop please.

 

Press Tab to get back into cursor mode. Now you have the familiar cursor and you can use the right click on the mouse to turn the camera (like before). If you prefer this setup, as I do, go into settings - controls - and down the bottom you will find an option to stop forcing the new mode in combat.
Now you're playing almost like you used to; the only thing you have lost is tab targeting and using both mouse buttons to move.
Give it a go - I got used to it pretty quickly and it's not bad at all!

 

Be sure to set the mouse sensitivity option to the lowest then slowly raise it up until almost go beyond your comfort level.

 

Try tab.
If that doesn't solve it - reload client.
If that doesn't then disconnect other input devices like joystick or wheels etc.

 

Pressing Tab gives you access to the mouse pointer. R29 changed the targeting system.

 

new targeting systems in place need to adjust you mouse and such as explained.

 

Thank all of you. I was so discouraged! I couldnt even click on Arabella and deleted character several times thinking it was me ......I missed several lot selections because I could not click on the for sale sign. Finally I just stayed off the game the majority of the time since it was so frustrating and I did not want to ruin the fun until I found out what to do to continue to play. Thank you all again!

 

I sympathize with you, and am glad you got the help you need, even if it came too late for you to take advantage of your lot selection group

This seems like a lot of reading to do, but it is the price to pay for playing a game which is still in an unfinished state and is still subject to many major changes.
