New Steam trailer?

I see it as an upgrade.

 

Any headway on this yet?

 

Hasn't quite been a month since the last bump but since this topic came to again in the thread "Gamers Nexus: Interview with Richard on MMOs"...

 

They could definitely use an updated trailer with the newer graphics, features, etc

 

Everyone on the trailer should wear the emperor suit

 

Once the updated female avatar is in place, and all of the animation issues resolved, there should be a new trailer made to show off the game. Join a small group and stroll through Britanny, visit an inn and watch a bard perform on some instruments, descend into a dungeon and show some combat, etc. Make sure the UI is off, use the highest graphical settings, etc.

Well you can already kinda see the new models with SketchFab. If they're going to invest the time and effort into a trailer, I'd want them to do so when the game is of production quality. Unique character models, polished animation, unique scenes, NPCs. Better lighting, shaders, etc. If you're going to do it, show off more of it, and make sure what you show off is highly polished. Otherwise, in 6 months we'll be demanding another one.

 

I like the idea of a competition.

 

Agreed when the devs make one. Now, to show the current state, i say the community should, to save devtime for important devvy stuffages.

 

Game trailers are one of the main ways that they are marketed for new players and to show off features of a game. It's fairly important from a production standpoint, imo.

 

While i agree that it is important, i'd rather they take that time implementing features, if we can do this for them.

We really could use a better intro. Our current one was great for the KS, but is outdated now.

You know what I'm excited about? Project Overwatch. Want to know what started my excitement for the game? The trailer.

I know we're not Blizzard, nor am I trying to draw a comparison. I'm trying to say that trailers matter. In a visuals-driven world and industry, our trailer is our game-preview. What we have now is not accurately reflecting our product.

Could we please have a new, polished trailer? Or be let in on when that will happen? Perhaps pre-episode 1? Any comments would be helpful just to clarify or even to quiet the masses.

We actually do not want to bring in a massive influx of new customers at this time nor do we want to spend money nor time on making a new trailer. Will work on this post July

 

As in, before we actually launch but after the final wipe. Love it.
