Is there a list of all of the public gardens? I imagine Brittany Fields will have some (I hope). And I've seen the one in Ardoris. Are there any others?

I'll probably utilize them until I can place a home on Final Wipe.

    Thanks!

Public gardens will not be active until some time post final wipe.

I'm really looking forward to this feature, I'm currently stuck with a row lot, while nice, it has very limited farming capacity...

Would love to see some flat roof rows.

I know a lot of external decorations would defeat the purpose of row houses.. so I propose a rowhouse with the top floor as a greenhouse.

Even if it didn't have the "greenhouse bonus", it could be set to grow at the regular rate for outdoors on the ground... but it would be INSIDE the building, which would cut down on the external loading problem...

    Something kind of like this...

Yes! Take the three story stone row house and replace the roof with a greenhouse!

[edit] If they added this, I'd be on it like a bum on a bologna sandwich.

And you heard this where? I specifically asked if roof areas counted as outside for agriculture purposes and was told by DarkStar that they did.

It's in the release notes for R27...
    • Plant Growing Inside (plus Roofs & Balconies): Budding gardeners can once again grow plants inside player houses, as well as on roofs, balconies, and in basements. Note that growth inside is 90% slower than growth outside. For example, a plant that takes 1 day to grow outside might take over a week to grow inside.
Edit: Could be reading it wrong though. It's a bit ambiguous.

I tested this in the current release and balconies show 1.0x.

It was in the R27 release instructions thread that I asked about roof growing and if you try it now you will note that you get the 1x rate.

I think some of the growth rates are bugged. I put some plants 'outside' a row house on the grass and still only get an inside x0.1 growth rate. It counts the plants as an external decoration, but slow growth still.

You should file a bug if it hasn't been done yet.

Yep. I already bugged it about a week ago. I planted some garlic outside at the beginning of this release and those little suckers still haven't produced!

What type of row? I have the 4-story row with blue tile roof from the add-on store. I'm fairly certain it had the 1.0x growth. May have to double check it this weekend.

Just tested it.. the blue tile roof and stucco home were regular growth in front of the home, the wood and plaster was .1.
