Seriously do they have to be bloody EVERYWHERE? in towns? a few places is fine.......but having them EVERYWHERE is really annoying. Its like someone took more time to place like 1,000 watchers everywhere !

[edit removed the gripe about missing menus as it was not productive]

That would probably be a different department. Level builders don't tend to be interchangeable with UI coders.

And as for the watchers... If they aren't *everywhere*, how can they be asked to watch your every move ? Just think of the hi-jinks you could get up to if that were not the case ? ;)

Everywhere would be one thing. 5 in one market square is overkill.

i know i was just kinda griping about the latest bug. but im feeling better now.

just I think Episode 1 may be wished to be re-titled "Invasion of the Watchers".

and at least there should be one obligatory quest called "Who Watches the Watchers?" :p

    Two brief notes:

    1) Running into things slows you down. This also happens in real life.

    2) If you think there are too many watchers... you can always do something about it. They are killable.

Not really. Short respawn time and persistent zones means they are effectively infinite.

But I dodge things in RL. And I do not stay slow for 3 seconds after I already passed something that flies down behind me. I do not mind the amount of watchers, just the collision mechanics are off. Even those who were not waiters know how to get through a crowd fast enough without slowing down to a crawl. If our legs can adjust to terrain now, then why cannot we bend and sidestep around people fluidly? If we actually hit them, then yes, slow down and fall maybe, but the near misses are intolerable. [Off soapbox] :)

    I laughed.

But I also want to point out that entering combat mode allows you to run through NPC's and watchers. So the mechanic of encouraging you to not walk through people and things might just be a mechanic that encourages you to pull out your sword in town.

I DO like that, rather than absolute collision (frustrating to be blocked in small spaces) we are given an alternative of pushing through (this happens in many games so there's nothing new about this mechanic. I've been playing fallout lately and been yelling at my companion to GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!!).
