Does anyone know if there are any snow towns other than Vertas? I feel like alot of people would like to live in snow towns, so I'd be surprised if Vertas was the only one. It seems like there are so many forest towns and at least a decent number of swamp towns.

There are a few fairly established POT settlements in the snow mountain template - such as Wizard's Rest, Berans Reach and Silverhold.

(I have my own, but it is still under development)

No other NPC or PRT's are Snowy unfortunately, guess they forgot about them :( There are some POT ones though.

I hope we get more in next episodes but for now yeah, look for Vertas or POTs.

Devs, get us more snowy places!

Honestly I'd be more impressed if the snow that fell accumulated on established towns. Talk about variety!

I'm thinking that Novia is on the southern hemisphere and somewhat tropical going from the benefactor logo and maps we've seen.

Talking to the POT Governor first is probably the polite protocol, however, pre-placed lot markers can be set to one of three different settings. The default is to only be claimed by Avatars set on the POT Residence list (but any lot with this setting can in theory be claimed). The second is open claim, where anyone can come in and claim it like any normal NPC/PRT lot, and the third setting is to specially reserve a lot for a distinct Avatar name.

You would need to find the town crier to see if there were any open lots, they would just show 'available' on the lot list.

From the amount of rainfall, I think it's somewhere near Seattle.

Seattle had about 114 cm in rain last year.

A tropical rainforest gets 200 - 1000 cm of rain in a year.

It can rain a lot in a a tropical environment.

Wizards rest is next to owlshead. Just pm Lord Baldrith here or in game. It is a mellow player owned town with a snowy biome. No taxes or deco rules. I'm majoria and will be back 8/23 in the game and would be happy to assist and answer questions anytime as well. *Cheers* and welcome to any newcomers to Shrouds. :)
