I missed the telethon yesterday

This morning I was going to upgrade my pledge. I clicked the up grade button and I could go up one level (maybe even one level at a time , Not sure) if the pledges are all expired could I still do an upgrade?

This morning was also my house(row lot) placement date. I wasn't having much luck placing in Brit fields or in Brit Wharfs. Just nothing that I really liked. I also tried the alleys but seriously I got turned off just being there.
Trying to figure out where to go next I saw some of the telethon video this morning and Esteban's section on Spite. He did a great job on this town. I died in the pass getting there but found a decent enough spot that I placed.

Now here is my problem. I am a complete noob. I didn't do any of the starter quests so str, focus is basic. Should I go back to the Soltown area for training, Exp, and gold? Or is there an area up near Spite that I could train in?

 

Keep your spot in Spite, go back to Soltown and bind to the town crier there. Run Soltown catacombs or just do the quests to level up.

After you can easily run through soltown catacombs, then you can come to Drachvald and hunt in East Vauban hill or whichever the name of 2 skull zone then move to harder ones until you can hunt in Graff mine entrance and inside the mine afterwards.

There was a telethon today

 

Could be nice also to upgrde to one of those Star Citizen cross promotions accounts.

 

Ouch! I thought the telethon was supposed to be today.

 

Unfortunately the telethon started yesterday at 12 noon cdt time. I was out of town and didn't return until after it was over.

 

I'd like to echo Roycestein's comments and recommend South Drachvald Spur as your leveling zone after you spend a few days in the Soltown Catacombs. Its a great leveling zone with a lot of resources. Then move onto North Drachvald Spur.

The part that now confuses me is that the upgrade button is still there.

 

I was only up this way one time when I first got into the game. A nice group took me through the area to show me what the game was like. I got to see a dragon in the game for the first time. After that I stayed mostly on Hidden Vale waiting for the wipe. So being up here is a big departure for me and I think other than the pass it will be a great experience.

 

Maybe there is going to be a way to upgrade the account thats different, but it just hasnt rolled out yet.

It's shaping up to be a great region so far, despite the difficulty of the pass.
