Free Raffle Tickets for Release 34 Raffle

Well that's great for you. Some of us aren't happy about it, and with good reason. Had I know thousands of people were getting free tickets I would have saved my hard earned gold.

 

But that's what it's all about. From what I recall there was a "bug" where the tickets were double the price.....no doubt some bought them.......the "bug" was "fixed". Now after many people have been grinding away for hours buying whatever tickets they could.... well they now get shafted.

If this was given to every to EVERY account, I would probably be all for it. In fact @Berek I challenge you to be fair and as "pledge levels don't not matter".......give a ticket to every account.

 

Giving 1 each to everyone would be more fair for sure.

Anyway, I gotta try to farm stuff and see how much I can make after tomorrow patch to determine whether I should upset about this decision or not. Right now 15k is a lot of money for me.. Tomorrow... we'll see.

 

Its a nice goodwill gesture... though I personally don't think giving people a raffle ticket who might not even want one necessarily helps things in the end. If anyone really wanted to enter there was plenty of time to earn the gold for the raffle.

I'm not really upset, though... just hope to be able to win some in the future or find some put up on a vendor for gold by someone who wins. I was already planning for the second case scenario in the likely case I lost, so no change of plans really. I don't want want to earn profit in the game, just set up a public area for a POT so I can get that up and running.

 

Seems like something that would be announced before the raffle started........

I think its great that you are giving the free ticket raffle ticket to newer players that don't have tax free lots.

But -

1) changing this midstream after people have spent tens of thousands of gold is pretty messed up

and

2) disqualifying people who have spent real world cash on lots that are NOT tax free seems pretty uncool.

 

Since this ticket will last only 1 drawing... If people don't show up to claim them, then it will be useless. However, if they all show up,then we'll get quite a bit of population trying the game again.

 

Nice gesture for the ones without property. This is a good thing.

 

And once a new player get a lot/house, he is out of the next raffle! sounds good tbh.

Buying unwanted raffle tickets for 5k /2,5k...

 

I heard you can't trade them...

 

They are no trade items. You can't even put them in your chest because of that.

 

Raffle cannot be transferred.

 

I already own some lots and 100% SUPPORT this decision.

New players and low income should have a way to win or else it gets frustrating and the game becomes too niche focused on backers.
The more popular the game is, the better for everyone.

I add that free lotery tickets should come with every new account from here and after.

Remember: this is a LOTTERY (Raffle) system, having a ticket doesn't mean you have a free home.

... helping those without property... this is a virtuous decision. What is the difference between this noble act and SotA giving ALL those without property a chance at winning a deed? Not a thing.

I, for one, am happy they are NOT making this an "elitist" game, only for those with the gold. Good on you, Lord British!
