Are all the UO players gone?

Played UO from 1998 to 2012 on Pacfic and still playing on a free server. I have big hopes for SOTA and wish I could have backed sooner. Still have not tried PvP but that is on my list as PvP was a big part of UO for me.

 

I seem to remember Pacific was home to the Dead Presidents, got PK'd by them more than a few times. Ronald Reagan most notably (although at the time I don't think he was actually dead yet).

 

I was a UO player for 5 years, this isn't UO and I'm enjoying it.

I'm here for the long haul.

No, I am still here. Definitely not UO. UO inspired is fine by me. I do not mind nuances.

 

I'm a recovering UO addict. Planning on substituting my addiction with SotA.
This isn't a UO substitute, but I believe in the vision that LB has for SotA. Looking forward to Ep 1.

UO, 98 - Last year, mainly Atlantic. Hope to be playing SotA for the next couple of decades.

 

Still here and patient. The port team seems a bit overwhelmed to me atm. Aside from game balance it appears they may also need some task balancing to focus on more serious issues than cosmetics; the archer sound effects for example.

As far as a UO feel, visually I think it is an excellent conversion into modern day graphics. On the overworld map is where nostalgia hits me most, but in scenes too.

Keep your eye one the prize guys. If it isnt broken, dont fix it. For me there is too much to enjoy to get bogged down with growing pains.

Nope. I played UO for many years and I am still here having fun! While I do think there are many differences there are also so many similarities.

 

Well the deck system is something I'm having a very very hard time enjoying and using. I also feel that its missing the freedom that UO had in terms of grieving players. I have to be honest the funniest times i had in UO were using stealth to walk up and open peoples backpacks near the bank stealing the item and hoping not to get caught. I won't say much about archery because it is beta but that is sluggish and not fluent enough to enjoy.

Please don't get me wrong here I know this is alpha but i feel we are starting to see how the over all game will shape up in the end.

Played UO for a long time, enjoying SoTA but well aware that they are two very different games. I played Mortal Online for a long time because it was so heavily influenced by UOs skill and open pvp system, but small budget and small pop led me to look for something else, and here I am. While I have some reservations about the current skill system and even more so in regards to pvp implementation, I am enjoying myself and plan to stick around for a long while.
