Heal and resurrect other people not in your group

    I've said it before and I will say it again...

    Turn back on the ability to heal and resurrect other people even if they are not in your group.

    There is NO valid reason why it shouldnt be allowed. To alleviate any complaints from those who dont want help give us an option to decline spells from other player, a simple check box in options same as the "decline duels" will work just fine.

    We had it before we should have it again.

    Any unwanted buffs like casting light on someone can easily be canceled by the other person by just dismissing the spell from their active buffs list.

    Absolutely.

    One of the reasons I like to play a healer type is that I can stop and help anybody who might be in trouble. I mean, this is a multiplayer game where we are supposed to interact, is it not? Stopping and helping somebody is a great way to make new friends.

    Yes, I agree. It's a real shame that we can't heal a player in troubles or resurrect someone who just died in front of us.
    I find the current behavior too limiting for player interactions.

    Agreed, aslong as a checkbox is put in so you can auto decline non group heals then it should appease any complainers as there were a few on other threads.

    I used to come up to other people and cast healing ray before I knew this. Now I do it as a show of moral support.

    I am not against the idea of being able to heal other players, I would just like to point out something about having a checkbox for this. It would be really annoying to have a check box come up over and over if someone wanted to bug people with it. As well, if this was possible, you could have 24 healers tank one or 2 players on a boss, or in pvp. So, there are drawbacks to being able to heal anyone, in order to keep balance.

    the checkbox would be in the options, so it would not show up when getting healed.

    And what is wrong with that? If Devs want boss to be killable only by group of 8 people, they can make zone party only.

    That is another good idea. Trust me, I am not against being able to heal out of party, I just try to think of why they made it that way, and come up with possibilities.

    Bosses seem to be located in "instance" based zones where it would be impossible to have people outside your group in there with you.

    Have you played any other games? I've actually played with several dozen people on a boss in other games... 10 healers isn't unheard of. (Pssst.. technically there are no "healers" don't let the dev's hear you mention "classes"... they have this anal objection to the term) Would be great if there was some bonus to focusing into one narrow class path... but there isn't.

    If 24 healers are all healing one tank... who's killing the boss?

    And who cares if we get 24 healers healing a tank... that's our prerogative... we have to split the XP so to do so means we are fighting one nasty boss that probably needs that many healers.

    As for PVP ummm if you keep attacking a tank with 24 healers healing him... then you are a lousy pvper... go kill the healers silly lol
