@Spoon not sure if you played UO, but there are LOTS of ways to grief, both legal and illegal.
If it is simply sending a lot of people there to get all the nodes first, that is perfectly fine of course, and just makes things more challenging.

WOW! We now have these kinds of players here in SOTA and they say SOTA is not attracting main stream players. LOL! Well, if they can show you the deed to the mine then maybe it's theirs. LOL!

Thanks to Multiplayer Online crashing my computer and stuck in Single Player Online, I don't have to deal with this kind of DRAMA! LOL!

Oh wow... that's pretty crazy. I read something similarly strange in another thread where a new guy moved into a PRT and was told by an existing resident that he'd have to cut lumber for the community if he wanted to live there. Where do folks come up with these ideas?!

I guess I've been lucky... although I was slaying some bandits recently and had some new guy that wouldn't stop poaching my mobs right as they were about to die... I kept moving away from him and he kept following, lurking, and swooping in on the kill shot so I went out and found a Patriarch Bear and ran it over to him. hahaha

These are the kind of things I actually like from multiplayer. Not sarcasm here.

Unscripted events that AI can't give you. A living world. Real stuff. Granted it's not grinding (which isn't in this case imo).

I guess I should go find my post where I said this and was roasted by the community who insisted "this community is going to be different".

Well it's not. I told you so.

I've had something like this happen only once. They 'hinted' I wasn't welcome and should go find another mine to harvest resources. At first I ignored them. Didn't even realize they were talking to me. Until this individual started hitting me with his polearm. Yes I took no damage however it did get my attention.

I took great pains to avoid harvesting nodes next to him/her.

IMO. If you are mining in the same scene as another, and you aren't competing for the nodes in their immediate location, I'd say they need to provide a bill of sale from Lord British. You have the right to gather resources as much as the next player.

Of course they didn't think it was a good idea. Why make the whole scam public when they knew they didn't have a case?

Screw them and screw anyone who tells you otherwise.

Unless you were flagged for PvP, why bother? They're the ones with the problem, let them deal with it on their own.

I'm insulted by the thought that they were annoyed by this. Let THEM make the sacrifice and go to single-player online. Good riddance.

I'd keep telling them it was now my mine and they should all leave, just to wind them up for being so ridiculous.

All your mine are belong to us o_O

Seriously, though, nobody owns anything they don't actually own in this game (like a player OWNED town can be owned but a publicly accessible mine is NOT owned by any player(s)). Block them if they start in on you and won't let it go, and if they bring their friends to harass you, report them.
