Okay I can't seem to find the recipes for Fishing Rod Shaft / Fishing Rod. Anyone have an idea of where I can locate?

    Thanks in advance,

You don't need the actual recipe in your book to make something. Instead if you put the right ingredients on the table the Craft button will light up and when clicked will Add that recipe to the book.
    Neat.

I really hope you are referring to something else here but you quoted me so...yes that principle works.
Craft some boards and you can see it in action. First put one board on, craft, then two boards etc.
so yes the principle works fine thank you.

However you might mean that the actual recipe that Jayson shared doesn't work.
If so you can get almost any recipe in the game from the recipe vendors in Owls Head.

Okay well looks like I will be heading to owls head as the recipe listed does NOT light up for crafting anything. Thanks

I went to Owl's Head, at the carpentry vendor "Norman" and he does not have the recipes for fishing rod shaft or rod. Now what?

If no luck, I would post it as a bug because it is an over site and we must be able to craft fishing rods ;) Also sometimes recipes take other tools besides the one equipped as I've found ;)

    What is your skill?
Perhaps it's one of the recipes that added a minimum skill requirement, which means even if you have all the right stuff, you can't craft it until you raise your skill.
    other than that /bug it.

Did you try the three recipe merchants in the building behind the adventurer trainer?

I tried to craft this using the ingredients from sotacraft.com and the sota wiki - it did not come up with 'recipe found'. I can only assume it's because my crafting skills aren't high enough? I don't know what the minimum is for the Fishing Rod Shaft however the Fishing Line apparently has a requirement of 31 Tailoring which I have but still no recipe found. Any ideas?

Are you talking about "Mervyn"? Because if so that is where "Norman" is and he does not have those recipes. That's where I was located,
