    I do not want to spoil the fun of the creator, which i assume is legit ( Many people use "lotterys" to scam )...

    However, i am pretty sure that this isnt allowed. Every other game i have ever seen with any kind of MMO elements have Always banned gambling of all sorts, which i Think has something to do with rules and regulations about gambling etc.. US Laws?! God knows.

    Someone might know more, and i might be totally wrong... But i know for a fact that Gambling in games isnt allowed, i just dont know the complete reason.

    EViL - thats the proper abbreviation of "Every Virtue is Lasting", this was the name initially, but they just didn't want to be so obvious... Also, it sounds more like the name came first, then the description. Also, gambling is baaad, mkaay? :p.

    This is gambling with in-game gold that you cannot buy through game services with real money. So no, it's certainly not illegal in any way. The gold has no actual real life value. It's the same as playing free poker online. No gambling license required.

    I'll review the ToS, but as far as I know Portalarium has no issues with it. They allow exchange of digital property for real money..encourage even. And this is nowhere near as sensative a subject as that can be.

    The issue would be Gambling, nothing else.

    I might be far off and wrong, wont try to ruin this, even thought i wont participate :)

    One of SOTA's first gambling exchanges was very early on within our SOTA's history. It was a bet between myself and acclaimed SOTA Fan Fiction Writer @Gabriel Nightshadow which entailed which one of us was going to buy a gift for a friend of ours from SOTA's Add-On Store, depending on which fighter won in one of our SOTA's many Championship Fighting Matches. "I lost that bet". Yet I don't see anything wrong with gambling, as long as it's made between friends "and we all are friends here in our SOTA having such wonderful bonds made between each other"... even if those are gambling events!

    Darn...only found out about this raffle late last night after I logged off :( Well, I guess I better get back to grinding tonight so I can earn some gold to buy tickets for the next one o_O

    The community supervises it :) The lottery *while i'm not opposed to developer support* is based of my honor and trustworthiness. IF i fail someone and cheat them trust me Everyone will know about it. I will not however. I plan on making this a fun event that can be enjoyed for a very very long time.
