Where can you sell Emerald Ash/Hemlock borers for full price?

The borers are the extra stuff worth 200g that you sometimes get off trees that don't seem to be part of any recipe atm. The cotton bush equivalent, Black Cutworm, gets full value at tailors, but haven't found any NPC that buys borers at full price yet. Anyone know if one exists? Thanks!

 

I'm not sure, but I've kind of been wondering myself. Also, I've just been saving mine just in case: 1) new recipes that may use them and be worth it. 2) I get enough to sell for an amount that makes me happy

 

I have wondered if these are a joke or a trick. We are afraid to sell just in case they will be a rare ingredient, and yet want to sell them because of the cost of them lol. I don't know where you can sell them for full price, but I'm not gonna do it lol.

Because no vendor in the game buys anything for full price, so the question has no answer other than "Nowhere"

• Tweak Merchant Buy Modifiers -merchant buy price is 80% of value for no tag match -merchant buy price is 100% of value for tag match

so if i sell to reagent vendor a reagent have to be payed full price but still 80%

Something is wrong also in game, and waiting for someone that know right answer

 

HAve you tried the carpenter-vendors for those thingies out of the trees? I didn't got one up to now, so I couldn't try that yet.

 

Most (but not all) vendors buy the resources of their specific profession at full price, i.e. most blacksmiths will buy ore at full value. If you find one that doesn't you should probably report it as a bug.

I don't think there is an NPC that buys borers though since it is not yet an ingredient in anything. There is a carpenter in Ardoris above the bank but he is the same as a housing decoration NPC.

 

i tried to sell potion to alkemist in :
Pot 80%
Brittany wharfs 80%
Brittany alley 80%
Ardoris 80%
Etceter 80%
OH 80%
Solotown 80%

 

I can sell the tailoring equivalent (Black Cutworm) for full value, 200g, at the tailor. So there's some vendors buying at full price.

 

I tried selling potions to the random encounter potion merchant, but he only offered 80% also.

 

Sure would be nice to know if all these "extras" like aortic thrombus and black cutworms are ever going to be used as crafting components.

 

For Blacksmithing, they took zinc out of the game prior to persistence and made Tungsten) part of some recipes. So, I would hazard to guess that these items (cutworm and Aortic Thrombus may be included in some not yet published recipes. Personally, I'm holding onto all that I have just in case.

 

TBH I think they're just there so crafters/gatherers can make a buck, having something of decent value to NPCs.

 

this is not correct sir, I sell wolf hats i make at full price to a NPC vendor in a town i wont mention. It pays for my tailoring training

I can sell potions to either alchemist in Kingsport for 100% of value. However, I have not found a single alchemist that pays more than 80% for reagents. (You have to use obsidian chips to be sure because their value is 10, so you won't get rounding errors.)

Ash borers, cutworms, and aortic throm...bones are currently used for nothing except selling to an NPC for 80%, unless you can find a sucker to buy them for more.
