    Hello!!

    Played UO on Catskills and then Europa back in the day. Enjoying it so far.

    I do Youtube a lot (mostly classic EQ up until now) so if you want to see a newbie make their way I'm here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHYr6N5nTyFQ5nWX4YlHujg (hopefully that works).

    Does anyone have any tips on performance. I'm using an Nvidia 1080 and selected the beautiful option as I thought it would be OK but its a little rough. Have AA switched off for now. I'm guessing its maybe just optimization issues.

    Welcome! I have two 1080's in SLI and there is still an occasional freeze. I think it may be a client bug or a lag issue as it typically happens in a busy town with lots of houses. I have everything maxed out.

    Welcome to the game. I enjoyed watching the first show and still have to get around the secoond :) It's always fun for me to watch someone else play or mess about with a nice commentary :)

    Welcome @Superbitsandbob! I have seen it suggested that one should turn off "Use antialiasing" - that the game looks better without it (especially if you have a 2560 x 1440 or higher res monitor) and it is a resource hog. I have just tried it however and didn't notice any real difference.

    I think it's just optimization issues that are causing the occasional "hiccups".. but you may want to experiment in scaling it down one from beautiful to see if that helps for now.

    The "Automatic" setting is intended to provide a fair experience. I use it most of the time (with not that much luck, but still it does better, average, than manual setting).

    I played UO on Europa as well, though that is rather long ago now. Let's hope this will be a grand new journey for us all!
    Regarding performance, the game needs optimization. I think we might get some for R34.

    I was in a Euro guild called ClanUK but we moved when the Europa server was released.

    My character ingame is just called Berendar (no surname) so please add me if you want. I did some streaming today as well so you will find my on mostly during the day GMT.
