Where to find carrots? Removed from NPCs?

Can't seem to find a single farmer NPC with carrots. Owl's Head, Brit, Ardoris, no luck. Did they get removed entirely?

 

Port never gives carrots. Only stick.

Will probably be at a remote farmer merchant. LOL. That way you have to run all over creation to find it. LOL

 

We can only hope. Brittany Fields, the great farming community right outside of Central Brit, has zero farming supply merchants and one cooking merchant. We have to go into Central Brit to get anything good.

It would be great if we could get player foot traffic up in here, and actually, you know, have NPCs that fit the area.

 

As far as I know, it is not yet possible to buy carrots from merchants. One tip though: In Brittany Central there is an unattended cart by the waterfront where you can steal them with impunity. If you take the boat from inside Kingsport and run down the street, you will find the place.

And seriously Port, would it hurt you to add the missing ingredients to farmers now that you are upgrading cooking? It's not just carrots, it's also ginger roots, pork sausage links and mushroom caps. These items are still missing, please add them soon.

 

In an effort to make cooking more accessible, all of those items are now found on Trolls, Dragons, Xavara - The Pillar of Flame, and Riei Firefeather the Phoenix.

No, not really.

 

In my travels i have seen dozens of mushrooms. That are not collectable. They should add this to foraging.....but then again if they did that then the ones i see would no longer exist. Heck its hard enough to find the reagents we can harvest. I wander around where i know they should be and none to be found. Used to find mandrake all the time...now its all gone. I see lots of nightshade now...but garlic is hard to find. And to harvest black pearl is almost a joke. So yeah gonna be fun to see this. I think i will be eating alot of bark bread if food is to be eaten for health. LOL

 

I have mentioned this time and time again about having NPC merchants in NPC and PRT towns. They dont feel that its necessary since the players should be providing vendors to accomodate. And yes...i used the correct term....Merchant not vendor since i got slammed on it during the telethon

 

You're right about garlic, but I have Black Pearl coming out of my ears. You just have to know where to find it.

 

They really ought not be selling recipes for things that literally cannot be cooked at the present time.

There are some carrots, btw, in Highvale. Supposedly there's some growing near the corn (haven't found them, was just told), but there are carrots free for the taking behind the main gates and off to the left in what's an abandoned vendor area. Not a lot of 'em, but some.

Frankly, I've taken to making the Darkstar Oysters and the Chaox Beef & Pork Loaf. Both last an hour and have good buffs (+2 health and focus regen, plus either +1 Int or +1 Str). Neither requires carrots or other (at the present time) low-availability items.

 

I wanted to make Ardoris Coleslaw since i'm a mage, but I settled on Chaox Beef & Pork Loaf since the ingredients are easy to find and the buff almost as good. Good tips!

 

I will share my secret location for carrots.... Brittany fields !!! as soon as you enter the zone, go right, right after the rock alcove, there is a patch to the right with 12 carrots.... Pumpkins on the left side of the road !

 

Also a crate with 5 or 6 in it for the taking. I felt like Merri and Pippin from LOTRs taking veggies from the farmer's crops. LOL.....I could hear was Sam yelling at me for it

 

There are also a few growing in the ground in Highvale.. right near the corn.

 

The downside is that just swiping the stuff gives a virtue hit.

 

And suddenly I'm glad that I already have about -1000 Virtue points in Truth due to not knowing that collecting weapons in Soltown for Scraps would have negative effects
