3 notes, one beside the barrier on the stairs skele, and the 2 rooms beside the barrier have skeles with notes on them.

Being vague about quest specifics makes it really hard for us to fill out bug reports. I've been trying to find the three skeletons for a month now and still can't figure out which ones they are (which means I can't tell if I have a bug or I'm just exceptionally stupid). I'm pretty sure finding notes on skeletons is buggy because I couldn't find the ones for the summon lich quest either (even though other party members had no problem getting the notes).

PM me if you wish :) But, have you tried sheathing your weapons, and checking if the decoration skeletons near the barrier (and the two adjoining passages) turn your cursor green - indicating the skele is a container? There's only 3 of these skeletons.

Wow. Combat mode... that was the thing I was missing this whole time. Thanks for the help.... though now I'm still unsure of whether I should report it as a bug. That seems intentional, but it's absolutely horrible quest design.

I guess that depends on your point of view. I feel that the stupidity lies in the design, but a case could easily be made that I'm the stupid one. :(

Ehh, I've reported what seemed to be intentional behavior as bugs before, if it seemed just totally wrong-headed. Wouldn't overdo it, but I think it's appropriate at times.

So now I get to Sequanna and FINALLY figure out what to say to her to get on the quest railroad only to have Samael tell me to talk to him about his ring, then refuses to respond when I do. I hate this quest line so much. :(

The love quest is not designed to be completed at the same level you start working the quests. All the dungeons for the quest are solo instances which pays off tremendously in the end.

After getting updates from the Necropolis at a relatively low level, I ventured to Malice and quickly realized I had some leveling to do. So I went about my business, periodically checking back until I could handle the content. When I could, I was then able to advance the quest.

Don't look at this quest as something you're going to knock out your first week in game. It took me a couple of months to be powerful enough to bring this to conclusion. The experience and loot gained from working the quest was well worth it.

So don't get frustrated by the false impression that this is a typical quest you just go from point A to point B and then to completion. This is a major quest line and demands you keep at it until you solve it. And it is very solvable.

    Good luck!

If you can't find them you're doing it wrong. Make sure your weapons are sheathed and look for your reticle or cursor to light up signifying a lootable item

They're not notes anymore that you're looking for, they are gems. Changed a couple releases back. Still three of them, still in the same places.

Wasn't the great thing about ultima is that quests didn't end with some uber boss that you had to grind to defeat ? :(

I was AL-58 Water/Sun magic and Light Armor/Shields. I did die a lot, but eventually managed to persevere.

You probably want to be a bit higher now that the regens are nerfed.

But this isn't an Ultima title, it's a run of the mill MMO, and if you don't have to clear an MMO dungeon at least twice, it clearly wasn't designed right.
