Once uppon a time, Pope Gregory IX (1170-1241 A.D.) started to see demons and heretics all over the place. He summoned some inquisitors to chase german heretics and wrote a bill, called Vox in Rama, which told of a supposed ancient Luciferian heresy in which black cats where essential as a stand in for the devil in the diabolical rituals of what inquisitor Konrad von Marburg identified as a satanic cult.

What followed after was the first human-propelled cat slaughter, that during next decades almost rid Old Europe from cats. But with this culling, God sent his wrath uppon the pope and his bishops, and the kings of Europe, telling Mother Nature to multiply rats and rodents, in which without cats, started to swarm themselves among the cities and dwelling among the open sewers and lack of proper excrement disposal.

This allowed God to imbue the rats with the Black Plague between our Lord's years of 1346-1356, which almost decimated european population, so to demonstrate that all critters of God have a place and a role to play on his beloved Earth, even black cats, in which the plague inherited it's "black" prefix (actually this part is untrue but fit).

So, if Lord British do not call back Order #66 and tell his minions to stop harassing the poor critters, Woe can again come uppon the lives of men, and he will be deemed culprit of this catastrophe by the Oracle herself.

PS: or perhaps this was a setup by the infamous Lord Darkstarr, to create a pandemic, so most of us citizens will end up culled by the pest to reduce lag. Anyway, measures of safety and constraint should be adopted by all capable men (and women), to avoid those insane minions to continue to fullfil this conspiracy.

Sorry but if we are going in order... Assuming Order 66 was given in this release... (making it Revenge of the British). Then R35 would be Kitten Wars (sorry, I don't acknowledge A New Hope), followed by Lord British Strikes Back, then Return of the Kittens. Then in a few decades we might get The Kitten Awoken.

 

Maybe a foretelling of things to come?

Well if we want to look at things that way, remember in Diablo 1 a long long long time ago... there was the rumor of there being a secret cow level. Then in Diablo 2 they released a secret cow level!! Maybe episode 2 of Sota there will be a secret cat level!!

 

Devs need to make them their own domain, Cat City - where all the cats are invulnerable and all the villagers and guards have only 1hp, are flagged as enemy and can be attacked, then let the cats take their revenge.

Cat owner here. No need to go into detail about how intelligent and social they are, but.... I really like the seasonal ghost cat you can purchase. I'm going to get one and it'll represent all my deceased feline family members.

Whatever this madness is, it has also infected Felicia, the now infamous cat lady in Aerie.

 

I saw this happen for the first time in Jaanaford yesterday, where one of the merchants began attacking all of the cats. I have to admit, as a cat lover, this made me cringe. Hope this gets fixed.
