I payed over $350.00 real money a year age only to find I now have a second job of logging into the game just to grind $1000 gold to give back to you. And if I don’t pay up you repo my house all my stuff and I have to start all over. What the hell is going to happen if I can’t log in for real life reason and I lose every thing again to repo… This is not a smart option. This is a game not a life style.

    Not fun.

I do enjoy the game you have along way to go.

i think the taxes are in a good place for a Time 6 months to a year after release. But right now when people are trying to get started they are a massive burden most casual players can't carry. Would be nice if they could take a little of the burden away now and let people build up some skills and cash, then start raising them back up to a normal level after the economy has been established.

Just my two cents....which doesn't buy much anymore.

Is the Oracle in places like Elad's Lighthouse ? Can't say I've ever visited, but should start since I get paid to visit it

Not sure I'd like the village/city tax costs, but my only taxed lot (row) is very manageable. So far with minimal play (and no farming) I've been able to increase the number of days my lot is paid for each time I log in.

You can pay I believe up to three months rent in advance.

Visiting each town crier in every town gives you 100 gp the first time you speak with them. *added*

the 500gp a day from visiting the oracle (like bow vale suggested) makes taxes cheap.

Taxes are fine and they told players a LONG time before they started it how it would happen.

there are other ways to pay your taxes.

    sorry but all ig GtG

Just want to make sure, did you pay $350 to get a place-anywhere village lot? I figured since that how much the taxes cost daily. I would recommend buying 2 Gold Crown of the Obsidian (COTOs) to pay for the weekly taxes instead (it gives you 3.5k GP tax credit and normally sell between 1.2k to 2k GP). You would save a lot of money by paying with COTOs instead of paying with liquid GP straight up.

If you don't want to be bothered by taxes, then you could also buy the tax free lots from the bundle store like other people who prefer to now worry about the taxes. Although, at this point buying COTO from in-game or even add-on store to pay for taxes might be more cost effective than paying for the tax free lots if you can ensure that the taxes are always being paid.

You don't need to start over if you don't pay the tax after 14 days. All your stuff goes to the bank. The only thing you may lose is the right to your lot if someone claims while you are evicted.

For some a little row to start off with is just not enough and want a town or higher. The taxes then will become a serious burden, but these lots ether ment for a guild, or players who are serious grinders. I myself bought a taxable row lot as I simply could not commit to anything bigger

Oracle gives you 500g/day for about 5 seconds work now. That makes row lots basically free. Crown of the obsidians are also a great way to pay rent for even cheaper. I think village lot is 8 a month, very cheap with the current market.

We could look at the possibility of having a flat sales tax. Something has to pay for the guards that protect us.

Except for those who RP the Oracle is a creepy manipulative diety the 500g is a good option

I bought the taxable Town Lot from the Add On Store. It cost 2000 gold per day. I have managed to purchase (by grinding) well over 200 (I cheated, I bought the first hundred off the Add On store) COTOs. I am all set for at least a year. By grinding, I started off making barely 800 gold per day. Now my Avatar is making 4500 gold per day plus has a ton of resources to boot. Not that hard if you keep pushing. O and I only play about an hour a day.
