One of my favorite things about UO was the bank gathering area. It made it feel like a true community. Seeing all your friends and enemies, checking out other players gear and mounts. Watching at all the thieves in action and so on. I fully expected to see a "Grand City" with a bank area similar to UO!! Let's get this done!

I suggested a duelpit with no houses for low resource usage and a bank. I think that's probably the best way to do it, also makes for a nice trading post for p2p trades.

The cream should rise to the top on these player owned resources, and the gathering spots, I hope, will be things like player run taverns this go. There are already some on the landscape that seem promising.

"Fishcakes! Selling Fishcakes! And Black Mares 10k!"

A new area to shout around? Maybe outside Brittany in Multi. The spam though...

Hmm, I'm thinking we need a Barter Town....and a Thunderdome of course :). "Two men enter, one man leaves!"

I know it's a strange complaint, but I feel like the world is almost TOO big. I almost wish there was LESS places to bank and sell so that the world felt a bit more alive. As it stands right now there are more places to bank and sell than there are places to fight monsters.

Definitely not wrong there. The current population is spread too thin at the moment to generate any sort of natural critical mass.

You only see a lot of users gathered at special events.

Hopefully that will change as the game closes in on feature completeness.

As an aside: I do like the fact that the devs are trying *not* to add every type of merchant to every town.

"What? I have to actually go to a larger town to buy such-and-such ingredient ? What is this nonsense ?" ;)

    Yo TC.

One day one place will migrate itself into the magical place you are talking about. But it will take a location with really good vendors that are always restocked, with a spot to bank at as well.

There was a reason WBB used to be the go to hangout before Luna. It had everything you needed all in one spot. Same goes for SotA. It's just a matter of who will build the town first :D

I have a house in Brittany Fields and the bank is right inside the gate, that might be a good place.
