Back again anouther problem with the game.

OK might get a bunch or agro from this before it's deleted or locked. But really the Updater???????? what a joke on the time. I can see where this is not going to work for a community trying to play the game together you can't play with the population because their using the cheapest servers they could rent. So we will be stuck with SPM or Friends only.

 

Most of us just use the patcher to download the torrent file in the game directory, then launch it in a better one like qB

Agreed. Not sure how much time goes into coding a good p2p app tho. DHT makes a huge difference methinks

 

PAtching without steam needs to be addressed. no question there.

 

The launcher works fine for me. Make sure you have peer to peer enabled on your launcher. If you are at a university or institution it is likely your torrent traffic will be throttled.

I keep my launcher up always to help seed. The other day it said I had 7 gb uploaded.

I have gigabit up and down so it is likely that I have no problems because of a good connection.

 

I appreciate that people help out with peer to peer by keeping the launcher open but this really needs to be addressed officially and not a piecemeal solution that relies on p2p to patch the game. Either tell everyone we are supposed to cut over to steam, or address the people that don't want to cut over to steam.
