Put the scroll on your non combat bar and click on it. Make sure you're not overweight

yes, you will either need to bind it to town crier or your town lot first.

To bind to a crier, you talk to him and it's one of his dialogue options to click, or you can probably ask him about binding or lots, if you don't like the prompts. To bind to a lot, click on the lot stone, it's part of the menu. If you click the gear next to where it says "private residence" you will see the option to bind to that lot.

Ah if only I had realised the overweight thing before hand. I'm far away from my bind point and I've been stocking up on heavy ill gotten gain thinking I'll recall back to my bind point and do some crafting with my banked ingredients. I'm actually 573.9 pounds over weight. Just kept accumulating (despite the slow walking) thinking that I'll tap my shoes together three times grab my scroll and no place like home.

Damn. I'm also running short of bank slots to leave this stuff behind in. Defeated by game mechanics. Can't even slow walk the map as there are choke holds I'd have to run through that I can't over weighted all like this.

You can als right-click(or double click? Will have to check later!) to use them, I always do that as my non-combat bar is full :D

I think double click will probably work. That is what I had initially tried when I got he message "you are carrying too much weight".
