Can't place Practice Dummy

I've crafted a practice dummy and want to put it in my house (Brookside Loc: 32.3, 45.5, -3.8). But it is not placeable. I've tried it in- and outside.

Also the Practice Dummy is not marked as an housing item.

Addition: It's possible to place the dummy in the basement of the house.

 

You might have hit the pet limit which would stop you from placing another "pet" on the lot - practise dummies are counted as pets for some insane reason.

 

@lollie, Thank you for that possible explanation, I have added it to the original report as something to look into. You may want to consider adding this to the Feedback Section since my reports deal generally with Bugs. A practice dummy as a pet does sound quite strange.

 

First: Now the dummy is correct marked as an housing item. Maybe my mistake?
And yes. the dummy is counted as a NPC. This is why I can't place it.

Thank you all for your responses and feedback. Indeed the practice dummy is considered a pet, and as such it's interactivity is limited to when the property owner is around for performance reasons.
