Root spell effect to short

4. Details: My tooltip says rootime 10.8 seconds. Tested it on hardened Skeleton Footman in Brightbone pass. Roottime 2 seconds. Tested it on Large Timber Wolfes in North Quell Woods, Roottime just 7 seconds. I know that the spell effectiveness should decrease with the difficulty of the mobs but this seems a bit to much.

This belongs in the feedback section, @Varinka. The level/strength of the mob compared to your own as well as your own root skill level causes the effect to vary from mob to mob. The skill is working as intended, so this is not something that can be reported as a bug.

 

So the level of many creatures was uped this release especially the hardened Skeletons? I thougt only the hp went up? In R35 the rootime was much longer

 

Hp is calculated on level and strength. If they increased HP, then they increased level, strength, or both.

 

Mighht be helpful if the spell provided more details about the actual length of the effect.

 

The lenght of the spell is the skill when you mouse over it.

So no more is needed there.

It is AWSOME that they are getting around to making things work like they should have from the start.

Sadly they started with things way to easy (all around) and now when they take them back (make them "right") player whine that it is now broken.

Sorry but this is development and they do not need to make it easier again nor need to explain, players need to understand they have had a cake walk from the start and bite the bullet when things get harder.

 

The thing is, it is not true, it is shorter based on how high level the mob is...

 

What level of root do you have?

 

The rootlevel is 60, Earth Attunement 39, strength 49. The discription of the spell states a duration of 10.6 seconds. 2 seconds are too short. 5 or 6 would be ok. But at the moment the skill is useless.
