I know that other games which allow or encourage group play have in-game options for finding other players. But I cannot find such an option in SOTA. But this would enhance the game so much! I truly do not understand why it is not already a feature.

So, is there an intention of creating such a feature?

not sure if they will add such a thing in-game but, for now, find an active guild to join... the guild I'm in are always forming groups to farm EXP and even LOOT...

Thanks for the info! But it would still help to have a mechanism in game, especially since the devs are encouraging grouping. This is particularly true since not everyone can use or wants to use that particular service.

But I did just make an account and post to #lfg, so thanks again for informing me!

Also something that also works is the /z zone channel on the world map that usually gets a lot of people reading your messages.

I could effectively and diplomatically argue how horrible an idea it is to have a LFG channel, as I have done repeatably over the years. But screw it, to each his/her own. The only thing I hope for is a game that survives the test of time. When it comes down to it, gold diggers, gold sellers, COTO's, pay to win, teleport's, gust ball's, power leveler exploits, no PvP, full loot PvP, solo play, friend play, and all those exploits mean little compared to having a successful game. An LFG group is small potatoes compared to everything else. :)

Not exactly sure what I said here to get moderated again....I suspect it's just another attempt to jab at me...but just try speaking with players in game....they are GENERALLY a good lot. We don't need a tool like this. It just encourages a lack of interaction.

I don't know either, I have an email of your post and it was not offensive at all.

I have to admit that the #lfg channel on Discord does work. I have three new friends and have already grouped with one of them.

I voted yes, but I don't want an LFG channel in the in-game chat. Zone chat is the largest broadcast I think should exist in the game. Instead, I think an LFG system for pairing like level players would be best. The player could select the role they wish to fulfill, dps, healer, or tank so they are free to define their own character as the skill also currently allows.

Forums and Doscir have tools to do this once you find a few players then oyu should add them to your friends list and then you can use the to locate / find them when they are on .

A whole General channel LFG is not really a good idea.

Use the other tools, since this is jut another way to sneak a General World Wide Channel into the game which is not wanted.

We at least need a town message board. Putting notes on a public vendor just doesn't cut it.

And with hyper links as a feature?

I really like this idea. I do not know how difficult it would be given the fluid nature of the skills system though.

This is the best general in-game solution I have heard so far (in my not so humble opinion).
