Cheapest weapon you can buy to scrap for XP

    Does anybody know what the cheapest weapon is for scrapping in order to gain XP?

    I'm with you where i'd love to craft to fill my pool, but I don't think the math works out. I've been doing 20gp cotton + 4gp wax for a laughable 0.833 pool xp per gold. If you can find a weapon or armor for <24gp you could beat that.. but still you have to consider, is it easier to make 600gp or click a single node in elysium?

    Steal 0 value weapons and armor from dungeons (no virtue hit) and scrap em. The epitaph has many. So does Hilt fortress.

    I love hilt for free shards, lots of respawning weapon racks, also a smithing station in there so you don't even have to leave

    I would go to Nightshade pass and kill lots of mages and archers and salvage the weapons.

    You can crawl the sewers and catacombs for easy kills. Kobold Camps have hammers for good money.'

    Free from a kill is the cheapest :)

    Do any of you find it weird that the most effective ways to do this stuff is either by killing or stealing rather than, you know, gathering? Just curious.

    The best way to get Producer Exp is Harvesting - He specifically asked for scraps and there is only two ways to get them Kill or Steal - and he asked where there is cheap stuff but why would you buy stuff to scrap??

    Right... and the question remains, do any of you find it weird that the most effective (read: only) way to do this stuff is either by killing or stealing? I'm guessing you don't want to address the question but I find it an interesting "design" decision.

    Wouldn't it be more interesting if we can grow scraps from planting scrap seeds and water them on the planters?

    not scraps but you used to be able to buy fish from merchants butcher them for like 10k xp an hour then sell back the meat to earn 2x gold cost of purchase dont know if it changed since last time i did it tho
