I'de love to see a patch with 0 focus upon a summons. This doesn't need to be permanent but I believe with the current player base and active testers, please bring back 0 focus per summon. This would allow for heavy testing on every single summon and while It has been done before, it has never been done with a no wipe system. Summons as are pretty much blow, but they are great to look at and if I could summon 1 for no focus then I would. To be honest summons, only help people who are adventure level 30 and under. Anything beyond that would be a 10 dps combat pet. Please support my idea for a plethora of summons, each representing your personal game play!
I support that, but I cannot believe that it isn't just a math formula to make summons stronger by level. They already have the efficiency value. Maybe the focus drain should refer to the skill level to to not op a mage with his summon.
They did talk about making changes to the summon spells eventually. They do still have uses right now though. For examples, water elemental heals you, earth elemental is good to use fighting golems as they are immune to earth attacks, fire elemental is good to fight mages with being immune to fire. For the main part though, you need to level your summon spells for attunement. Attunement is your total amount of skill points in a magic tree divided by the number of skills in the tree.
Sorry will not support multiple summons in any shape or form, They could deffinatly use some love - higher skill higher levels . . . . but not ever more than one per player, N E V E R
Yeah Summons are pretty useless, i was excited to try the Wisp for the debuff, and whata waste of points that entire tree is.
He didn't say more than one summon, or what I didn't get by language maybe? I use the wisp for Roleplay But you are right Moontree need much more love and power. I go for Moonmage, but the skills are more like nice to have gimmicks , but moonbeams what i find usefull when dealing with archers sometimes to take them out of battle for some time.
Animal charm is most useful when you're in a zone where mobs fight each other. The wolf/bear/spider that you deaggrorize with that charm spell is likely to go after the skeletons/bandits/kobolds who are also after you. Night vision doesn't cause the subterfuge Camouflage or Silent Movement skills to fail as the Light spell unfailingly does But yes the Lunar tree (like the Life tree) is all about support and defense.
Summons are awesome! Summon Earth Elemental is my favourite spell. it makes life so much easier! It's a shame they are going to nerf them.
pleth·o·ra ˈpleTHərə/ noun noun: plethora; plural noun: plethoras 1. a large or excessive amount of (something). sorry if you meant choices but I am pretty liberal
@Weins201 didn't get it. But here are some suggestions about summons. 1st let them be more effective by level. Let them cost more Focus per level to not op a mage with summon Phoenix - light damage plus reveal hidden in an close area around the mage, let's say 5m to prevent pickpocket Earth Elemental - Tank, Earth Damage, Root Water Elemental - Water damage plus healing. Like it is already Moon Wisp - mesmerize plus focus recovery like the water elemental heals Air Elemental - air damage plus something like purify against stun, root, cc ... Lich - death damage plus ??? No good idea yet Fire elemental - fire damage plus ??? No good idea yet
Summons are only useless for people who don't understand how they work. Take Summon Earth Elemental..my favourite summons. The Earth Elemental is immune to Earth magic. Earth Elementals only cast earth magic. Sooo....you summon your Earth elemental at the bottom of Verdantis or Elysium (depending on the gems you want).....send your elemental in to tank..and it will defend forever. While you run around and freely loot the silver/gems....with no interference whatsoever. I will leave it to your fertile imaginations on how to use the other ones.
Yah its seems fun to do. As you develop with earth magic and the passives, they actual apply to earth resist even thought says physical. Atm i believe earth ellys hit me for like 1-2 damage and i regen it
I wouldn't mind a skill set of support skills for summons. Much like taming has, but placed in a seperate tree from trees for each element Summon XXXX skill lives in that element's tree. Summon control, HP, damage, etc for its skills are in the Summoner Tree.
