There is now a 24 hour cool down on these? Not fair, I just bought a hand full of these expecting to use during my hunting and now they are all useless?
well considering it takes a week to grow them at 1x.... having a few is probably still nice, even though you can only use 1 a day.
The idea of the pledge reward fruit is to help you out when you find yourself in a dire situation since it restores a large amount of health. If you find yourself constantly in such situations then you need to reconsider your fighting tactis. The cool down was added once the items tradability was restored to prevent such use cases that break game mechanics by being too over powered. As to the fairness of your expectations not matching reality I can only suggest more research prior to future purchases.
Lets say they regrow at a rate of 3.5 Any amount more than 3 would be useless to own, considering you can only use one per day. Day one, Use one, replant. Day two, Use the second, replant. Day three, Use the 3rd, replant. On day four the 1st plant would be ready to harvest. The cycle starts over. Prior to this change I was able to use a dozen on a single hunt. Now that the cool down is changed the remaing fruits are useless. If you would like to buy them for $25ea. I would be more than happy to sell you my extra fruits.
I don't need them for my fighting tactics, I just enjoy using them... The fruits were purchased months ago, and have been used for months, I'm not sure how research could have foreseen this upcoming change.
The change was made months ago. IIRC, it was a response to when you could crit the harvest and get an extra seed back. Lots of people got extra seeds and were using them back-to-back-to-back to off-balance PvP.
I thought the extra seed was the elderberry bush, you were able to trade them once planted in the pot. Even a cool down rate of 1 hour would prevent any PvP unbalnance. Anyway, I don't want to request a change if many feel it's nessecary. Just want to voice that perhaps it could be reduced a bit for those that habe multiple seeds.
Ah, could have been. As someone who was not a part of the exploit, my memory of it could be incorrect.
The Elderberry was involved in a duping scandal. I've not heard of anything other than the un-intended multiple uses daily for the immortality fruit.
