I want to move a house from one POT to another, including the lot it's on. Is there a way to preserve the decorations on it when moving it, or do I need to re-place all decorations once I've claimed the new location? I suspect it's probably the latter but thought I'd ask.

    Thanks!

Currently, once you unclaim the lot, all decorations will be move to the local bank. There is a thing coined "magic movers" that's coming at some point in the future.

ATM you have to not only replace them you will have to move them from the Bank in the town you are in to your new location. Since if you go to empty house or reelase yout lot everything will go to the Local Bank

It is almost easier to move them to the bank you are moving to as you take them down either way you will have to carry them from town to town.

The best way I can think of is find a friend who has a lot close to where your new house is going, place a trunk near their stone and bind to that stone. Go home grab as much as you can recall to the new location (or player) and once averythign is moved then collapse old house and claim new one then all you have ot do is move one trunk from friends house to yours which you can drag 1million stones one lot to another easier. Or if you can have POT owner put a banker at your lot location that is actually the easiest . . . .

As in real life: Moving a whole house really is a pain in the ... well you know what I mean. But to tell the truth: as much as I would welcome any system to make such things easier, I also think, that it's actually ok the way it is. Sounds contradictiory, I know. But I think moving a whole house shouldn't be just a thing of just a few clicks. Moving somewhere should be a decision not made too lightly. But I also think, adding some (paid) way to make moving easier is still something I'd like to see added to the game. As in real life there is nothing wrong in getting some help for moving you home. And here we have the advantage of a world full of magic. So if there'd be a way to magically move your complete house, then sure, why not. Just don't make it too cheap or easy so moving somewhere still means something.

You say all your things will move to the local bank....is it the local bank of the town you are currently living in, or the town you are moving to? Also, what happens if your bank is full...(items or weight is maxed), do your items go into a special section of the bank for holding until the move is complete?

Thanks for any info...I've never moved so was just curious of the process.

The ability to save & load a lots design, including house and its inside/outside decorations, is very badly needed.

I suspect this could be done without taking up too much of their time either. Throw us a bone guys, whip this up over the week and patch it in on Friday.

The local bank of the location you are in now I explained pretty well how to move, it sucks but not impossible.

All the items will go into the local bank of the town where the lot was that you just unclaimed. All the items will go into your bank regardless of how much space you have in there, you just won't be able to put any more in it. Also, be careful of pulling stuff out when your bank is over-full. You may end up seriously encumbered and not able to put anything back.

My friend and I did something similar, only we used teleport and recall scrolls. I have a higher carrying capacity as a STR character, so I bound to the new lot he wanted to move to. I used Teleport scrolls to get to him and recall scrolls to get back to the lot. So the process was:

    1. Friend claimed new lot. He put an empty trunk on premise and added me as permitted to the lot.
    2. Friend stood at the old town's bank.
    3. I loaded up with recall and teleport scrolls. I emptied my inventory at the old town's bank.
    4. Friend traded me items from old bank until I was full.
    5. I recalled to his new lot and dumped items in the trunk.
    6. I used a teleport scroll to return to him.
    7. Repeat 4 to 6 until the old town's bank is empty. I teleport back to him one final time to reclaim my items there.
    8. We both port to the new lot location in the new town.

It took time but wasn't too painful.

It would also be nice if this opens up a new non-combat /non-crafting profession to the game for avatars who want to show off their house-moving prowess :)
