Its the the Spring telethon, but... I like the look of the stained glass.


The topiary creatures and leaf/thorn items could be interesting as well. The only one I'm really looking forward to is the Fountain, and it will depend on sizing and whether I can place it in my open greathall or not.

 

thats about the only thing interesting in the pack but not sure id go on a spending spree because of it! I think you will have to take your house off to place the fountain! lol! Which makes the stained glass lamp null and void! lol Still im not really thrilled with this telethon, as i would be if there was some cool armor some cool weapons, maybe a cool hat something to off set what they have now! I could do without the roses stained glass all the same!

 

Yes, the thorn sword/shield might even have a darker appearance, which could appeal to some of the darker PvPers depending how its done. (Think blackthorn sword, shield).

The leaf sword reminds me of the leaf sword Finn has in Adventure Time.

 

This is actually the first reward package that I'm really excited about. Normally I don't really care about any of the items, and even though my character will never use the weapons and shields I think the variety will be great for the game and it will be fun to craft gear with these UNIQUE patterns.

This is just my personal tastes though, some people really enjoy the things that I don't enjoy and THAT'S OK. I just wanted to state that overall there's a good variety of stuff here that we normally don't see and I think that's a huge positive for these telethons going forward.

 

Seems like a good thread to mention that I think this telethon is going to flop. There is nothing that great expiring and the only rares (valentines) expire at the end of the month. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see how it's being set up to succeed.

Edit: Compare it to the last telethon expirations and rares. Oodles of each.

Meh, but was probably easy to do given they already have the throw flowers emote.

• $25,000: Butterfly Mask

I'm not interested in using it personally, but the more masks for everyone to wear at masquerades and other types of festivities is great. All sorts of animal masks would be cool with me, too. This is one of the best types of things things the devs could create for parties and social events.

• $35,000: Stained Glass Hand Lantern
• $50,000: Floral Pattern Stained Glass Oil Table Lamp (3 Pack)

The stained glass looks great, not personally a fan of mixing different eras and would have preferred more medieval-ish patterns.

Could be cool. I still want some smaller-sized white floral hedges, so I can shape them into a curve like the normal hedges.

• $80,000: Leaf Shield and Leaf Spear

Sounds great to me.

• $100,000: Large Spring Themed Fountain with Floating Candles

Depends on what it looks like, it could be cool.

• $130,000: Shield of Thorns and Thorn Sword

Sounds great, and could look for evil characters. Thorn helmets and other pieces of armor might work, too.

 

Agree on the flower stuff... But not everything is bad. I guess with the new pattern system the next telethon will be better in terms of rewards.

 

Flower Leap? Can we get a bespectacled dog and his pet boy, too?

 

i like almost all of it. the mask is not all that exciting

 

If the thorn sword has a chance to proc root or bleed, that would be awesome!

Looks like the same rewards from last month, reskinned. Why not step out of the box of emotes and fluff for a minute. Let's try something that would improve the game. How about at $50k you contract an economist or a marketing strategist or a public relations specialist to come in and fix a few things? How about at $150k you do all three? I'd pledge $20 for that. Elite gear with powerful stats? I'd pledge $20 for that. I won't be pledging for more emotes, fluff, or starter gear.

 

Elite gear with powerful stats must be player made. otherwise there will be no economy.

 

you can any day buy some gold from a player with store credit and go hit up one of the many vendors in game.

 

Yes, just spend $20 to buy COTO, then trade that with player crafted gear.

 

The incoming telethon player equipment will probably have eternal patterns too (eventually). Overlaying them on crafted elite equipment should be straightforward.

 

Yes... and the screams of "PAY-2-WIN!!!" would be deafening...

Telethon rewards are rare fluff... they always have been... and always will be. Rightly so.

 

These rewards are a lot more diversified than the initial set of rewards that were announced for this telethon. Step in the right direction IMO. Something for just about everyone!

 

Agreed - diversity is good! Plus different tastes and all that.
