it would be fun to have a visual effect and sound when find unsual loot such as coto or artifact...

Yes I love this. The only way we know most things is looking at our chat window. While this is fine there are times a *heads up* you've achieved something or found something would be great shown visually and by appropriate sounds being played.

Heh. I used to play on an UO freeshard back in the day, where you could get rare jewelry through tinkering. Whenever you got a rare jewel, it'd make this sound. Oh I loved that sound. You knew treasure was afoot and it was just as exciting everytime to rummage through your bags looking for whatever you got ;)

I think things like this should really be considered by someone involved with overall sound design. Suttle / powerfully descriptive music and atmospherics Where the wind blows stones on the ground and trees creak about. Finding of moving through a secret door could trigger a suttle sound also.

Can't help comparing the game to WoW for its incredible sound design, although there's a fine line between too much music and more of a DayZ realism approach.

Just with atmospheric sound it would be possible to elevate this game to incredible immersion levels, good luck to them finding the right people to pull it off.

    Yes please.

But consider this : what if the avatar made the noise and effect?
What if it did a Whooooopie emote/sound Like in celebration?
(And you'd get a non-teachable lesser version to show off that you've got it).

LOL, a lot of the time, I just press the interact key to grab everything before it's even visible on-screen. Then, when I get home and look at my loot, I'm like "wow, nice".

Yep, this isn't very good in the first place. And it creates a possibility people sell the valuable loot when they go to town because they don't even know what they looted. While a sound might help (if you have sound on), I would still support this.

I'd be good with a dialog that lists all the claimed loot items in the chat window while going solo or in a party. Or maybe the mob corpse could glow like the NPCs - drops an artifact, glows blue - drops a recipe, glows green - drops a potion, glows white - drops a bunch of worthless crap, no glow.
