People's Choice Awards: Worst Artifact Ever

The ring of Luck is the worst IMO, to wear if you have to remove a perfectly good ring! At least with the belt, there are less options for a good piece as replacement.

Am I imagining there was a 'One' Ring in UO, that gave one point to STR, DEX and INT?

 

These are all great artifacts.

 

All the artifacts are bad. Certainly not worth their price.

I could get behind having an artifact inventory slot so that they could create some useful ones (belt. Kind of is ) and not have crafters up in arms.

 

Oh, I don't know about that. With the Ring of Luck , I have a better chance of pulling out fireworks rather than a book on 'The bear and the bees'

 

At least the belt of patient harvester has an actual use. I use it on nightshade and black pearl during the night. Since there's usually only a few around to harvest, the added time isn't a big deal if you get an extra meticulous here and there.

 

Fwiw, there is a public wishing well in Desolis iirc.

I'm wearing a belt of the brutal butcher basically because I don't own any other belts. I think I'd rather have the patient harvester.

Better still would be a belt of the skillful harvester! Give me -1000% meticulous collection chance and speed up my harvest time or yield ;-) Something that would actually come in handy around the farm.

 

the weapons are not that bad... you can at least use them as decorations...

Not only does it take up a ring slot.

But also the benefit is only for those who own a wishing well.

And to add insult to injury the wishes granted from the well are 90% books worth 1g that can be found anywhere in the world. Or 1 firework which is a consumable.

 

Ring of luck. But really none are good. The shield, spear and shield you can crush and not get the pattern but at least there was a shot of something useful

 

I hope I can win any of those awesome items so i can brag about having killed an orc or something i cannot even hit for real

 

These items will drop any any zone that is 3 skulls or higher. I had the slipshod shooters sash drop in Nightshade pass, off a thug mage.

I had to vote for the Gaudy Vile Spear: It earned its 'vile' name not by being evil but by being reviled by its users for having all the stat downsides without an upside.

 

The spear is really bad, however I voted for the ring of luck, because even if you find the wishing well, the rewards are not that exciting. And you have to toss the 1 gold in the well first and you cannot do that more than every few days (a week maybe, not sure).

I vote for the poor unlucky soul who buys the ring of luck off a vendor for 500,000.
