Worldmap loading times

    Hi,

    I like the new release very much. A lot of good improvements.
    But one thing seems to be odd:
    On my PC (Windows 7, 8GB, Geforce GTX 960) the loading times of the overworld map seems to be longer than bevor the release. Every time I leave I map it seems much longer than bevor.

    Has anyone else noticed this or is it only me?

    i hadnt given it a lot of thought.. as I often play in solo/friends mode, it did dawn on me that surely a lot of my loads should be shorter as its not looking for other players to update. only the seiges, buildings, decor, encounters and the like depending on zone or overworld.. but my loads arent shorter..

    I kinda thought it felt shorter, but its not a scientific thing

    Why isn't the world map almost instantly loaded? It's static between releases, only avatars, mobs, and sieges are dynamic.

    I also noticed that loading to the world map had increased this release.

    Yea its a slow load here for me as well.
    Luckily i think the next patch was supposed to be focused on performance. And every performance release always seems to cut load times pretty massively.

    Disagree. Takes longer to load scenes now than it did a year ago. Number one reason I don't really play anymore. Loading time has always been described as a priority but IMO it has gotten worse, not better, over time. If they devoted as much focus and resources to loading times as they do to creating new content and pixel crack, the game might actually have some fluidity and be more enjoyable.

    We are aware of some longer loading times and performance degradation in this release. Apologies about the loading times in general :(. We're working on resolving them and hopefully giving a good boost in performance across the next few releases!

    I don't remember how it was in gw 1 but it never bothered me much that it were instances. in this game loading screens are just so obvious for some reason.
