new light spell... not impressed

    i like the new one.. (maybe because we have see the old one for 2 years...)
    can be nice if a player with 90+ of INT and Spell-Binder stance can make a small sun... at 10 meters over head and much more lighter..

    Most time at night I use both of them. Just if I mining, I often prefer the light spell instead of nightview, because you can better see the ore :) It's a curious thing ....

    A good point! Will let the team know there can be some refinement here on collisions.

    Totally love the new light spell, the old one was always something that annoyed me because it looked like an angry ball of orange wasps, the new one is awesome. I have actually started using the spell again since it was changed.

    The new Light spell graphic looks pretty cool, better than the old one, maybe we need two light spells, a ball of fire like the old graphic for fire mages and the current one for sun mages ? got two graphics got twice the chance of keeping people happy.

    Agreed... I really like the new Light Spell graphics... and I often use Night Vision as well, especially in cave or sewer exploring.

    I really like the new graphics for the Light Spell but I think the distance of its illumination should be increased perhaps dependent on the level of the caster? It still seems too dark at times during the night time. Also, maybe move the center of the illumination more in front of the caster?

    I like both versions. The new is slightly less obscuring I guess. It seems more like a sentient entity like a wisp, which I prefer, but not so unique (e.g. Tink mentions).

    I totally agree, there should be a greater radius/throw of the light for higher levels and attunements. Also, collision and overall positioning could be improved but I really like how it looks :)

    It would be really neat in the future to be able to choose our own light effects, it's kind of like a pet and it would be great to have a few options!

    it needs about a 50watt bump in lumens. looks to be about 15 watts at moment. just isnt bright enough.
