How do you get the 100% XP return from unlearning a skill over 80? Do you need to use the Obsidian book or can you just unlearn it by turning the arrow to unlearn in the skill tree?

Yeah just set to untrain. The item of unlearning only gives back 90% and costs 3 COTOs anyway.

I believe turning the arrow down would give you 100% of the exp back, once you trained a bunch while it was down (over time...).

If you use the skill in question, i.e.: archery - it will lose experience.. or when you die, those skills set to untrained will take the experience hit.

Note that it gives you 100% of the experience back until the skill is below 80. At that point, you will only get 50%.

Any skills set to Not Training, and are above the minimum required for the skill below, will also take experience hit on death.
