I'm looking to run some calculations on fizzle rate. Essentially I want to know my fizzle rate for high end spells with the following setups: Staff and cloth Wand+Shield and cloth Blunt+Shield and cloth Blunt+Shield and leather Blunt+Shield and heavy Factors I know that increase fizzle Moving by ? Armor by (Varies) Factors I know that decrease fizzle Wands by 15% Staffs by 30% Artifacts 25%* No weapons ?* Follow through (0.125% per level up to 12.5%)* Attunement / Spell Level ?* ________________________________________ If anyone knows the values I represented with question marks or knows other factors that increase and decrease fizzle rate I would appreciate knowing them. * Starred items have been added or updated based on feedback in the topic. Thanks to those who've helped contribute.
Having nothing equipped in either of your hands gives a reduction to fizzle rate. The fizzle rate is also reduced by 0.125% each level of follow through.
using gems in your weapons can increase attunement and that decreases fizzle the video is using rubies to increase fire attunement, other gems will increase other spell classes.
Ah. Attunement gives a reduction? Now as far as I understand leveling up a spell school gives attunement as well. How great is the effect of attunement on fizzle chance?
I am not sure that attunement gives a reduction so much as leveling the spell gives a reduction and just so happens to increase attunement as well. At the very least, attunement in +5 increments did nothing for my fizzle rate (what I had on jewelry).
Note there are now one handed artifacts which drop fizzle by 25%. Personally I run mixed armor, a one hand weapon and an offhand wand. Allows use of most spells and all the heavy armor glyph & passive goodies....
Sounds cool. Do you have any more information on those? What are they named / where would I find one etc.
The artifacts? They're artifacts - rare rewards. Examples include Gaea's Heart or Frozen Tear of the Titans. https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/so-where-did-find-your-artifact.81760/ talks about where some people have found theirs!
