See right there i wouldnt have put myself in a scenario like that because i am a responsible adult!
paying month by month would be financially good for me, i would spend less in that month, and less in the next, for me that works i get the bundle i want i only have to wait a month to get it.

Heres another scenario - ok you save up 300$ for a bundle, you buy it, the next day you go for a drive and are hit by another car, now you have emergency expenses, to get your car repaired, is port going to give your money back nope, will you be able to sell your bundle maybe, maybe not. Guess what I have coverage and i have enough money saved up for an emergency. So because i am a responsible adult i should not be able to make a payment on something in this game?

@Autumn Willow on a personal level yes your NO is valid, on a public level the NO is not valid, we will just have to agree to disagree and i respect that.

 In both scenarios, you'd not have the $300 by the point that you've saved once you've acquire the package.

I'm just saying that 1 scenario puts you at a bigger disadvantage. If you're unable to see my point, it's okay. There isn't any reason to get the company to save the money for you through a payment plan.

You asked for an explanation why I said no. I hope this satisfies you. It doesn't look that we'll be coming to any form of agreement. Don't take it personally, try to look at the argument from a different perspective instead of seeing everything from your point of view :D.

    ;)

And...what speaks against you puttin a few $ to the side each month and then buy the item? Same result, same Investment...difference is you dont have to say "thanks" and nobody has to do anything.

An carefull....as a PC gamer, or any gamer..."our" attention span in matters games is pretty short. Means...usually people play this game, after a week another game and a month later comes the next titel one has to try....the worst that can happen is having a "debt" open worth a few hunded $ to a game that you dont play all the time....and imho SotA is not a "full timer"... its a game you come back to. The reasons for that are different for everyone...a few SotA fans could very well do that...but the 99% playerbase should never do this imho.

And further...having a debt to a gaming company brings the same company into a complete different position. Imagine: you didnt pay your $ for a few month, since your life changed...would you want portalarium to send you the bills and pesk you? Would you still log into the game after said company is making its possible to gets its money from you? Would you accept your account being closed until the $ are paid (as an example)?

Wow really youve totally missed the whole point.......
I dont know if you were here when they did a payment plan but this is how it worked,
i would put 20$ this week another 30 this week another 100 this month etc.... i did not receive any debt, since there was a timeline when it was over, so if you didnt complete payments on the item by that time line port had your money, then you would have to cut your loses. It wasnt like a credit card where you go buy it and have it before its paid off, i didnt get my pledges until they were paid in full. You would add money whenever to bring you up to the next level, thats how it worked

yes, thats possible...I read your post and I answer(ed) on it...sorry if I missed a big storyline. Good Thing we are on page 3 then ;)

And no...the payment plan you speak of is not known to me, I see the price for something, I think about if I can afford it, if I dont I see what I can do and if I cant find a solution then I cant afford something. Happens every day when I pass the "porche" shop on my way to work ;)

This is not a credit plan! You dont get **** until its paid off in full, if you dont pay it off in full, then you just gave port some free money!

I love this idea, and I also love the idea of a voluntary monthly fee, like ESO Plus, with special benefits and rewards! Have asked for this from the beginning! (2015)

    @blaquerogue

    So lemme try understanding this.

I've to put money aside for something I can't use, and then only get it at the end? And if I fail to do so, I get punished by losing all the money that I've put in thus far?

Then why not I save it up by myself? And then buy the item/bundle when I've saved enough?

There is absolutely no upside to this, besides the fact that you might wanna lock the money into Port just in case you don't have self-control and might spend the cash on frivolous or unnecessary stuff. (laughs)

Yes, Troll in action! Or Comedy Hour perhaps.

It's exactly the same as lay-away, which used to be a thing and still is. Much rarer these days though, because they'd rather **** you with credit cards than encourage a modicum of financial responsibility.

Don't ask me who "they" is.

Well it could work both ways, many people use their charge card or deplete savings. We were allowed to say how much payment we wanted to make each month when I got my lord Marshall pledge. It was interest free and took a year and 1/2 before I got it payed off. As mentioned you didn't get it until you reached it but I did get the other tiers as I reached them a long the way, well at that time it worked that way. ;) Payment plans are a great option and of course anyone should take care of themselves and that should be an adult choice. I have not regretted this experience and adventure for myself and everyone's situation is different.

Thanks for sharing your reasons for a no.
