Weren't bosses supposed to drop more "middle of the road" loot in R42?

I remember reading bosses would drop more "good loot" instead of uber drop or total whiff. Killed 4 cabalists and only got 13-15g per kill. Did that idea get dropped?

 

I think when they said "bosses" they meant: Dragons, the Phoenix, named Trolls and Daemons, etc.

I think the Cabalists are more of a min-boss than a boss mob (just look at the amount of HPs as a reference).

 

Cabalists clearly missed the loot cut, but with 10k hp, they're up there in boss category. That's like 4-5x what the smaller Trolls have and the small trolls seem to have benefited from the mid-level loot.
