    @DarkStarr @Berek

    1. [New Player Experience] NPC vendors all look the same. This has a profound negative impact on new players. Ideally, player vendors could be swapped out for different variations and equipped by their owners with whatever clothing/armor was available. Changing NPC vendors to look different would make our game look better to new players in screen shots, reviews, and while they're forming a first impression while playing.

    2. [PVP] We need NPC Guards to actually fight. Giving NPC guards in story towns, POTS, and player property the ability to help "keep the peace" is essential to organic pvp growth. This would allow players who enjoy pvp but are not looking for a "death match" to find meaningful experiences that do not encourage ganking and spawn camping.

    3. [Economy] Add NPC vendors to every town, that will "pay more" for particular items. Right now only the blacksmith pays more, and if your town doesn't have a blacksmith then it doesn't get a lot of traffic. Make blacksmith only pay more for blacksmith items (not ALL items). Spread the wealth around to all the towns and make sure that no matter how big the town (even for Brittany) there's not a one stop shop. This will increase traffic to more places can just Owl's Head, and allow for a larger population of players at launch to form more meaningful routes of trade.

    4. [Travel] Give control points meaningful impact to travel and the economy. Right now they're really just annoyances and they do not impact trade or travel. Give people a reason (faster travel enabled - like more lunar rift options or some economic benefit) for controlling them.

    5. [Crafting and Combat] Add more benefits that encourage specialization. Benefits for GMing skills. Benefits for GMing all the skills in the same tree. Benefits for being over skill level 100, 110, 120, etc...

1: Ya...give the Vendors a paper doll for gosh sakes and let people choose the attire. Hey... oooo $ making idee...Give them a "New You" option for Coto's
    2. Good gawd yes.. let us yell Guards again... Oh and make flagging (at the Oracle.. not scene imposed) have a minimum duration: I suggest 3 days.
3.. Sure why not.. and while we're at it.. fixing the Loot. Let there be reward for playing
    4. We have Control points? ha.. Ya to rifts
    5. Hey maybe somebody with a skill of 120 could actually select which things to put on an item instead of praying to the RNG gods. Ohh and make repair a meaningful thing. Remove the st00pid COTO repairs all option and let a full dura repair be something one could do after GMing...maybe a sliding % chance starting at 100 and maxing at 120. (oh.. mind you.. I'm against any type of decay for crafting skills)

    Would also add :

6- [Sounds Effects] Disable weird sounds from NPC vendors (especially female one !), for instance Soltown blacksmith... It just looks like watching a female tennis match

I did not tried other towns (performance issues) but I can imagine it's the same and perhaps it's worst in Ardoris/Britanny

    1. Agreed. They really should just make 10-20 new models and randomize them a bit and spread them all over the land for all NPC's. If they are in a pinch, just use ones from other locations.

    2. This sounds like it would be hard to implement. I forget if this is the quarterly roadmap (or if it can be considered for Q3 or Q4). I cannot recall either whether it was part of the Kickstarter goals. This would probably make the game a lot better. But please, don't let it lead down the slippery slope to Felucca/Trammel (sic?).

    3. Nice idea, but again, I wonder if this would be hard to implement in terms of the mechanics you describe (payouts). They could consider focusing on this aspect of the game for one release (economy, merchants, etc.). All POT's get a Weapon Merchant (among others), don't they? In which case no need to put a Blacksmith - just allow the Weapon Merchant to pay the best for weapons, the Armor Merchant pay the best for armor, etc.

    4. Another good one, but again it sounds hard to implement. This is something the game needs BADLY.

    5. I don't necessarily agree with this. Cosmetics, titles, approbation...sure. But if you GM something you get a benefit - more attunement. If you GM a whole tree or the whole school you get another benefit - more attunement. You can also train up lower level players, which is a benefit you provide to others. I think being a GM is it's own reward. But I speak having my skills at 80, so this sounds like a "One Percent" problem. :)

I saw one chase after a Ebon Cultist Champion in the Forest Siege. It was fun to watch and helped my offline character escape.

If those are the prio before release, and the must do list, now all it's all clear for me.

Would you consider, as part of #1 and the NPE, working on the UI (moveable party frames, upgrade to look better, other functionality, etc.)?

Curious, is this a list things you think might be missed or your highest priority items?

There are sooooooo many pieces and parts that need fixed, but I thought these five things were essential to pushing out this game in the best light to a new audience. I tried to think of things that would get the most bang for the buck, could use existing technology, and conceivably be completed before launch.

But most of all I tried to think about what a new player sees and experiences verses in the game right now, and how that shapes a first impression. I think if these five things were accomplished it would be better than anything else they could do between now and the end of the year.

I actually assume they're already doing that or plan to do that. Same thing with getting the quests to work correctly.

Even worse, less than half of "blacksmiths" don't even do this. (I believe the Port term is "tag match".) There are some shops with two blacksmiths, and only one does this. The best way to find out is to see if they offer 50 for a nickel ore.

Ask and ye shall receive! Rifts are actually getting some love this release.

The worst I've heard was when I logged in at the Ardoris oracle. It sounded like a porno, and this happened more than once. I haven't heard that happen recently, so maybe they did something about it.

I'm aware of this. However, I don't believe they have plans to provide more than additional fast travel options for people.

I've love to see some kind of benefit to taking over a control point. For example, what if any lunar rift in that control point's region received extra travel options that would not otherwise be there? Or if you controlled a control point maybe special scenes in the region would begin to spawn rare regional resources? Just a couple of thoughts, there's really all kinds of things that they could do with this.

Absolutely, glad to hear that it may be a recent modification and could be reverted. I feel "obliged" to switch SFX off when I'm in Soltown because of that weird "Wouhouuu! " sounds :)

Here's my first 5 prio list:

    1. more quests and tasks that include combat, exploring etc...
    2. a working cap (hard or soft) that close the gap of players power, punish jack of all trade chars and instead promote specialization -- grant bosses are group content for everyone (at least in online Modes - fpr offline there need to be no cap or diminishing returns - become the uber master of everything avatar - for online this creates to wide gaps between players and leads to imbalances and more about pvp and also pve...
    3. more incentives to explore things - rng treasure chests maybe, after finding a treasure map and more things like that that encourage you to not grind one spot forever, but travel...
    4. feature completion - agriculture, brewing, fishing, more star/moondial related mechanics about these 3.
    5. make Row Lots achievable ingame with igg and not real money to fill up all the PoTs and NPC Cities!!!
people want a house - they dont want to pay for it, they want to play for it. Its ok, that bigger lots cost real money, but the basic house should be available to everyone who plays!
The Item Shop let a lot of people think of p2w about the game, because a house gives you slight advantages (growing regs, store, feel as a part of the living world, where you own your own property).

I think I could support most of those things.

I wasn't really trying to make a priority list though, just saying that when we launch let's make sure we have these high impact things because they'll give us the most bang for our buck from a new player perspective, and rounding out the existing systems.
