Need More Dev Tracker Capacity!

Dear Berek:

Our beloved Lexie posts so much that it fills up the list of developer posts so quickly in the developer tracker on these forums that it kicks poor Darkstarr off the boards too fast. Please allow us to see a longer list of developer posts in the dev tracker board.

You realise if you go onto the profile of Darkstarr you can see his recent postings?

 

there's a link to a next page of dev tracker. unfortunately, it's only at the TOP of the page, where you can't see it when you need it.

 

There's pagination links on the dev tracker though they're at the top right which is probably why you missed them.

I am sorry. I get carried away with posting bug numbers for each and every bug report. I would like a way to 'flag' myself so it only picks up the posts I think most people would be interested in. I will see if there is a way. I am ok with not getting picked up by the dev digest. I've been pwning the heck out of the dev list.

(And yes, I realize the irony in me posting this!)

 

you could, you'd need two accounts and only use the one that appears in the dev tracker for the non-bug-number stuff.

 

Irony folks complain devs don't communicate enough,then complain they communicate too much.

 

Well, I get the concern. I don't want people missing the big announcements. I like Alley' s idea.

 

I honestly think that would be a good idea. The entire purpose of the dev. tracker is to track development related comments so cutting out the bug report *spam* for lack of a better word really would be a great fix.

@Lexie I really appreciate all the work you guys do with the bug reports and I think everyone else feels the same. At the same time you do win the interwebs in the dev tracker as a result though =P.

Darkstarr's posts are important instructions for new releases. Its fair to hope to see those in the dev tracker the same day they are posted.

I have zero issue with dev bug posts. Just wish other current-day posts weren't so quickly lost on the top page of the dev tracker because of them.

As is, the devtracker has mostly turned into bugtracker. It was not always that way.

 

I recommend using newsfeed and following all the devs you wish to follow as a work a round. I prefer the formatting of newsfeed and use it anyways. Though for some reason, despite following @Attenwood I don't get to see his posts

I actually like being able to see when bugs are commented on, especially if they are Info Needed and I might be able to try to help with that. Plus, its interesting to see what is actually not a bug. So I'd like the Dev Tracker to keep these. What I wish was that it was multi-page, like everything else on a forum. Show me everything for the last week, regardless of how many posts there are, with 50 per page, and I'd be set.

Wow, I never noticed that. Ok, well no problem then. Except that some devs dont seem to be hitting the tracker at all; I usually PM Berek when I see that.
