1. All post bodies concerning Shroud of the Avatar player to player transactions or services are limited to this section of the forums. Unwanted solicitation in other sections of the forums or via chat or private message is prohibited, and could result in account restriction or ban. Posting more than once per week within your own thread, "bumping" it to keep it on top, bumping within a week of the first post, and daily replacing a post with a new one is also considered spam and is therefore, prohibited. Bumping is allowed once per week, if the new post contains information that is meaningful to the original thread (i.e. price updates).

    Activities that involve real money exchanges between players are not allowed. Account transfers are not supported. Items purchased in the SotA Store, such as Pledge and Bundle Rewards, Add-Ons, Stretch-Goal items, and Player Owned Towns, as well as services that can be immediately fulfilled in-game (such as renting existing in-game property or items) are the only permitted exchanges in the Player Marketplace.

    We will not restrict exchange of goods but we will not officially endorse these exchanges due to liability issues and staffing bandwidth. No in-game or chat based real money exchanges are allowed. Exchanges are at the players own risk and governed by the Terms of Service of whatever third party platform. Catnip Games reserves the right to restrict any activities if they cause widespread issues for our community or if these activities involve exploits of any kind.

    Sorry for noob questions, but i AM a noob ;)

    What does the expired house entail?

    I assume it is the lot deed and the house bundled together since i assume it is placed but no paid taxes.

    So does that mean as soon as the tax for the lot is paid, the house is usable again with all that entails, like packing house up to a deed again and placing another one on the lot, or even moving the whole shebang to another lot, even in another town? And are there any extra costs attached to it due to being expired?

    Oh, and most of the expired ones does not mention if they are POT or Free.

    Housing in SotA is a bit complex.

    You have three parts:
    the lot, the deed and the house
    (you can also add a basement)

    The lot is the land, lots are spread around the game and the first to claim gets it. But to be able to claim it you need a deed which lets you claim the land. When you do you pretty much have an empty stretch of land. Then after that you can take the house and build it on the claimed lot.

    So you need two things.
    The deed to claim the land
    The house to build one on top of the claimed land.


    That was the short version =) here you can find a vid showing how it works


    So without a land deed the house is pretty much useless, so the deed is the important part.


    Expired just means that such house types are no longer sold in the addon store.

    Why houses don't mention if they are taxed or tax-free is because there is no tax on the house but rather the tax is for claiming the land lot - which you need the deed for. Hence why you specify if the deed is taxed or not.
