Tear Down the Walls! (Update on Pre-Placed Keep & Castle Lot Walls)

That's the picture from the store when I bought my Duke pledge. Duke Island Keep..has the walls. I have the same setup since I placed. I like it that way. Taking it away now is unacceptable. That's not what I paid for.

 

And what will you be pursuing as recourse?

 

No need to hire, give me a shout and I'll lend you a hand, you should have two sets one with ladders and one without although the corners still have the ladder to reach their tops and that's a bonus for me so I can peer from my fortification.

 

Didn't you get a full set of castle walls too?

 

If you are a Duke pledge, I'm sure you have some 'stuff' sitting in a chest that someone would love to have to help with the walls.

If you are in a bind, contact me (Lesni) in game and I will assist (time available) to help you get the walls up. It really is not that hard just takes time if you are OCD like some of us and have to have everything perfect.

 

Walls are so eighties. Just like the Berlin Wall, it need to go. Walls are only for those who don't do any deco and don't want any interaction with their lot.

 

One thing that concerns me is that we will not be able to replicate this stair configuration:

 

Maybe I am mistaken..The walls they gave us years ago had ladders on every piece and for me was impossible to get it to work. Maybe I did not get the parts you are talking about. I could not recreate the walls that were there.

 

That I guess will depend on what happens .

 

Why not just make an option like the "extra land" on water lots for those who want the walls? I thought that's what was decided in 2015. The last time we went through this. I want the walls I have
and if they can just keep mine and take everyone elses away its all good.

 

I don't know what came with the accounts but you can craft all castle wall parts with and without ladders.

 

This is the list of walls they gave us, as you can see there are two sets one with and one without ladders, the walls can be recreated except that the gates don't have a lever or lights and the non ladder corner tower pieces have ladders to the top but not to the walk ways also the stairs have less stone work on their edges.

 

@DarkStarr Is there any possibility to have the option to keep the walls if we want them? The existing walls are real nice and have attached structures. I know that I would prefer the prefab over anything else.

Also the wall kit is identical to the preplaced walls (it is literally made from the same art). The only difference is some very minor details like instead of a lever you double click on the portcullis to open/close.

There's absolutely no way to fit those stairs into the corner like that. Also, all the tower pieces have an additional ladder and the walls on castle lots have these wooden lean-tos that are not available in any other form in the game.

BTW, I'm not complaining about it, I welcome the change. I'm just bringing up the point that you cannot replicate what's already there.

 

We are working on improving the wall kit to make sure pieces fit together better. There is a bug on this currently too.
