Leather helms

    I am trying to find a leather helm to craft that doesn't look like a football helmet from the early 1900's. The wolf and bear head pieces are okay but my wife isn't into wearing dead animals on her head lol.

    Thanks for any help or ideas!

    I understand your concerns totally. I am a leather wearer..in game...and have had the same issues. My answer was to craft something nice in leather stat wise, and apply the Dark Lepus mask pattern onto it. These aren't available any more, however there are plenty of leather items in the store and from rewards that can be broken done and a pattern salvaged from. Lots of vendors sell surplus rewards and with a bit of looking around I'm sure your wife will find something to her fancy.

    Ah, good idea, thank you Bow Vale I will try to find something to alter the old football helmet into.

    I havn't found a crafted leather helm who's appearance I like. Thankfully, patterns!

    Just thought that I would add if you wife is after the set bonus for wearing all light or all heavy armor, I don't believe the helmet matters for that.

    So... she's into wearing dead animals everywhere else, just not her head? (That's kinda what leather is)

    That said, the highwayman hat does look great, I used it for a long while before persistence.

    I got the brown pilgrim hat (before it disappeared) and salvaged it for the pattern. I apply the pattern to an epic leather helm and then dye it gray with purple to match the elder elven archer armor.

    lol yeah well said, but it is what it is, you must pick your battles with your other half. The highwayman hat might be a good choice, but I really like the elite elven archer head piece.

    Also, thanks for all the suggestions!

    I use goggles, the only pair you can currently get a pattern of are the virtue goggles though. I plan to use them together with a hooded cloak.

    The cloak still has some problems as you can see, but once they fix those i think this might be a viable option.

    Leather armor with a cloth helm/hood seems to look better than my grandfathers footsie ball helmet.
