Tried running the launcher from the command prompt so I could see any error messages that were appearing. This is what it displayed:

    E:\Program Files (x86)\Portalarium\Shroud of the Avatar>launcher
The Shroud of the Avatar Launcher saw some changes recently that
cause this message you are reading to appear. Please reinstall the
game with the latest installer in order to get rid of it.'"Shroud of the Avatar - Launcher.exe"' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.

    Guess I'm reinstalling...

Update: Downloaded the latest installer, and ran repair. That seems to have solved the issue.

Thanks for all the information and updates on that. I'm glad to hear that resolved the issue.
