Call to arms! Please help test deco halloween stuff [Jack O' Lantern] [Small Odd Skull]

So while trying to do some preperations for halloween I get a really iffy bug. (Some might say I finally get the curse I deserve).

I can't place the crafted Jack O' Lantern any closer than 6m to a lot border. I also can't place Small Odd Skull inside my houses.
I've tried with my main and with alts - same result.

Both of these I could place just a couple of months ago for R40.

Lexie could take my Jack O' Lanterns just fine and place them as if they were working normally, and if I move the ones she has placed they work fine. BUT if I move them to my inventory - then they won't place again.

So please if you own a Jack O' Lantern try it out and see if you have a similar issue as I do. If you do please add a
/bug
information into the topic linked above.

I too had this exact same issue a week ago with the exact same items when trying to place them on a Row lot. Thought it might have something to do with my lighting limits but I remember at the time I could place down another light item with no issue.

So yes. You not the only one

 

FYI, I think the Row lot "outside" light limit is 1.

 

I have exactly the same issue. I have not exceeded any of my deco limits (including lighting).

It makes sense to me now. Since you had the lanterns already placed I didn't connect that they had to go inside the inventory FIRST but that confusion is now squared away.
I think this is the first report I've seen for the small odd skull as of late so I have just submitted that: JIRA # 50802
Head's up, you don't have to create a bug related threads in the general section. This is mostly for organization purposes.
This is something our bug brigade can always help out with, and we were hitting that stage as I don't think we caught each other online today to sort this out together 'face to face' so to speak.
I think we would have caught that once that happened, but either way, we got the info we need now

Yep. Jackolanterns from last year will not place anywhere...inside or outside . I am growing some new pumpkins and gonna make new ones and see if it might just be a bug in the ones from last year

It only hurts more if you can feel pain... pumpkins are not necessarily worthy of being spooned by Spoon.

 

Fresh made Jack o Lanterns and they will place inside a house but not outside

 

Just curious but have you reached your outside light limit?

 

Nope. Actually have two light slots empty just for it and still doesnt work

Nope. Lexie put in a Jira with a solid repro. But that doesn't mean it gets solved this quick. Which we can see because people keep reporting it:

If it was solved for some, it was not solved for me.
I have pumpkins on the deck of my ship. They have been there since last year because I can't move them.
They will never turn green to be repositioned. I can move them to a spot INSIDE the ship and they will turn green but no place on the deck or land around the ship will allow them to be moved.

BTW these are not Jack O Lanterns but just pumpkins.

 

that's not the same problem and you should make a seperate bug (if you haven't already)
