[Responded] Edvard's notes on Solace Bridge

Guard Captain Stanley is asking me for Edvard's help investigating why the undead are attacking all the villages. I went Edvard and aquired the notes. Went back to Stanley in Soltown. He is asking for the notes but the give item button doesnt work when i trade to Stanley.

All i can gather from Guard Stanley is that at some point i gave him the notes. Now that i have the actual quest. He's not interested, so when i progressed the story line to Ardoris, the quest phased out.

I started new on the path OFFLINE.
Stanley asked the same about Edvard's notes as I entered first time after Solace Bridge Outskirts.
As I remember: could it be that the story was changed, so the notes of Edvard are given to guard at Solace Bridge Outskirts and later we receive notes from Guard Captain in Outskirts to deliver to Soltown?
May be I confuse the issue ...

 

I had this same issue then I noticed that the notes to stanley had text on them stating that this was an obsolete item that could be safely destroyed or sold. Does your notes have that on them when you mouse over the item?

A new guy was having the same issue unable to give to stanley tonight..this is the ic he posted in Discord.

As much as I try, I cannot repro this. He takes the note and the quest completes.
I did talk to him before talking to Edvard. He did want me to hand over the note, but I didn't know about the note yet. I don't think that has anything to do with offline mode.
I'm thinking it is possible that if you talk to edvard and get the note before talking to Stanley, we may have a bug (maybe?) There could maybe be a relation.
Bug #: 49906 - created because he asks for the note before you have the quest.

 

I also have a dead button. Got the notes before talking to Stanley, and when I attempt to give, I get a dead button.

 

I have this same issue as well.
