Any submissions made to the community driven site are on hold until such time as we can replicate all of that internally. If you have been doing any work on that side of things we are taking a full data drop of everything so we "might" have what you have submitted but there is ZERO guarantee.

This is one of the many reasons we are taking this over as there has been a long gap in response time for submissions of late.

@DarkStarr - This does figure into players who qualified for Navigator+ reward (before the tier expired) of:
    Novia Map Atlas
A special item for Navigators that holds all of the minimaps in a single compendium without having to first collect them in game.

It would be good to address this reward for those curious, what might work since the hand-drawn maps may be disappearing, is perhaps just taking the existing maps - strip them of certain information like ore nodes or NPCs and what-have-you, convert to Sepia, and import them into the game - as a collector and enjoyer of in-game handheld maps, I would find this satisfying. Even better if I can notate the maps - but I'd like to be able to store the maps in the atlas to pore over :)

    EDIT - Ninja'd me.

Too early to know exactly how it will work for offline mode. We are still literally downloading the code as we speak.

So, does this mean that any kind of cartography skill tree system is pretty much not going to happen?

Some users (like myself) paid a fee for editing access for our POT, I imagine that fee is no longer needed? (We can just feel nice having supported the creator.)

PS> Happy to see this getting Portalarium ownership and support!

    Oh please.....
If you enjoy game-play without using a map, then quite simply - DON'T TURN IT ON.
The rest of us will be quite happy to use SotaMap . ;)

false dichotomy there. it doesn't have to be either a map with everything on it or no map at all.

I certainly don't begrudge Jakub the fee I paid. I'm quite happy that Portalarium now controls the feature, deeply appreciative that Jakub built it in the first place, and hopeful that the purchase deal was a win-win.

I would say it's worth at least $100 in COTOS.

Thank you @Jacob White for all your work on SOTAMap! I'm really glad it's going to stay with the game and that you received a decent compensation for it!

    Thanks!!!

I'm sorry to see the hand-drawn maps go. They were much cleaner and more immersive than any other mini-map. SotAMap will be good, assuming all of the nodes and labels are removed (with possibly the ability to add them to your local copy), but as a shared community resource it is simply too much for an in-game resource.
