how to get broke in one click...

Please , bring an option to have an option on number of items you want when you buy from NPC, it is the second time, by lack of attention that i buy a pile of items when i just want one!!! first time was packs of regs, bought the entire stock of the NPC, it was fine since I use regs everyday, second time today where i bought 400 medium size planting beds...400 each, i could sell them back for only 32 gold....160000 gold gone, all my gold ...
I should have pay attention, i know, but this system of selling items is broken anyway, I am certainly not the first one it has happened....This kind of stupid things make you quit a game!

 

At least make the slider quantity always start at one.

Been right there with you on those planting beds. I mean, what player would ever imagine they are buying 400, right?! But the game does!

These vendors better be taking a virtue score hit for that kind of selling behavior.

 

Same. I have WAY to many crafting stations i will never use.

Solution to this, in my opinion, is actually a "Sell back" tab, Like LOTRO has. You have like 24 hours after you buy anything, to sell it back for what you paid. Same for buy back if you sell to the vendor.

A small window of time to rectify your mistake.

 

It is a weird system they have. They default should be 1 and you should need to enter in a number if you want more.

When this game goes live, this is going to be one of the LARGEST complaints. Like, hugely a complaint.

 

Only recently happened to me. It was a small stack, but wanted to test out parrying and accidentally bought 7 wooden shields.

 

I complained about this back when persistence hit, and lost 40,000 gold on a stack of repair kits 5 days into it.

They said they would look into it but never did.

 

Yea i agree it is something that needs to be fixed! I think they just need to add a different system for when you are buying and selling from NPC, because it is exactly the same how you transfer items from inventory to bags and banks. you try dragging the stack thinking your getting one instead you are taking the whole stack.
I accidentally bought a stack of cubit measuring sticks heh.. only 1000 gold... i would of died inside loosing 160k, probably would of quit for awhile if that happened..

 

You should mail support@portalarium.com and explain the situation. Ideally they will refund your gold since it's such a ridiculous amount.

 

Oh lord I have done the same thing. Happened once and learned my lesson. The very hard way.

 

It's one of those things you learn once, maybe twice (or more under certain influences) before you learn your lesson

 

It's 'one of those things' that could well make someone who has played for a couple of weeks and suddenly loses all their money in one click think 'this game isn't fun'. It's long overdue for this default buying system to actually default to one and let us change it if we want to buy more.

 

After playing for a while I have finally rewired my brain and am very careful at vendors. Needs to be fixed asap.

 

@Berek you might see if you can get his 160k refunded and encourage the bosses to fix this sooner rather than later as it is a problem that everyone gets nailed by at least once, although not normally to this level of gold loss.
