I need to enter the Midras Ruins to finish a quest. I would rather avoid PvP at this time.

Do not worry, i wont follow you in and gank ya. But honestly they are so dead you will not find anyone in them anyways. Unless someone teleports to you VIA friends list.

If you want some help to get it done fast, let me know

If there is a quest destination that seems to require that you traverse a PvP+ Scene, there is an alternate route that doesn't require exposing yourself to PvP.

This is true, you can traverse all the quests that lead into a zone connecte to a pvp zone. i just forget the instances that connect one anouther

Well I didn't last 1 minute in there, so I will come back when my level is higher. I managed to escape back to the world map with 2% health left.

    Take the non PvP Route.
You want to go to Midras Vault.
There is another way than through Midras Ruins, non PvP.
I visited all Vault without entering a pvp Zone.
    SotA Map helps.

Mines. sewers etc all give access to quest locations without going through the PvP zones. It just takes a bit of planning.

Friends only wont help you in PvP zones anymore, sadly. They force multiplayer. This decision has never made sense to me, as if people were actually going in there to PvP they'd go onto multiplayer anyway. But it is what it is.
There are however, as mentioned, underground routes to pretty much everywhere - although they typically involve significantly more travel time/ fighting to get where you're going.

I ran through all the PVP zones needed for the main quests this release and didn't see a single person. Ran through Blood Bay today without seeing anyone. I thought it was because of friends only mode.

I still wouldn't count on not getting pk'd. Don't listen to them. I rarely go to PvP zones myself but the one time I decided to look with a couple of friends, one who is backer and rarely plays game and doesn't care for the game yet, and right away we are hunted down and pk'd. My bad too I wasn't ready but he only got a sheet music since I do carry many of them.

Welcome to the game spainchaud and there should be alternative routes as some say. Good luck.

The key to Midmaer passage can be difficult to snag low level or solo. It usually drops from the higher level Water Elemental, but you can buy em for ~500 gold from vendors. Yeah I really roll my eyes at everyone who says they force PvP that do not know this. le sigh.

Rule Number 1: Don't tell people you're going in.
Rule Number 2: Put Dash and Heal on your bar.
    Rule Number 3: RUN!

If you are still in the cave, use that exit to Midras, as it's closer. If not, take the default entrance from the main map, and then just RUN RUN RUN around the right side, outside of the city walls over to the far entrance, enter that last gap and run straight. You'll run past a big building; that's the one you want to enter. SotAMap helps a lot.

Note the subterfuge skill tree ;)

I must recommend the 0th rule: use Silent Movement

or log out and login on world map - didnt do that for myself, because of immersion, but if one doesnt like to go the same way back, its an option.

Fwiw, some of those PvP zones have content that is a lot more interesting than running though the alternate underground entrances. I thought that finding the vault in Rhun Ruins was pretty fun. It's also very remote, so it's unlikely that you would run into anyone there unless you're followed (don't enter from multiplayer).

One problem with now is the game doesn't really do enough to let you know there are alternate routes or give much hint to where they are. For the most part I wouldn't have guessed any of them since they are not really anywhere near the ruins on the overland map.. relatively speaking. But to reiterate.. it is entirely possible to get in and our of all the vaults and other areas you need to go without going through PvP zones.

You could just level invisibility and just run to where you need to go invisible. I'd leave anything of great value to you home, however, just in case.

I don't know how many times over the past year (?) we have said that the alternate routes should be made obvious so that we know they exist and we know where they are. But it seems this is still not the case. Disappointing also on the level that SP players still are second class players and what they want and need are not a priority or even of interest to the devs.
