When they nerfed Verdantis Mines, playerbase dropped by over -10%.
When they nerfed Serpent's Spine Mines, playerbase dropped by over -10%.
Now they nerfed Elysium Mines...

The numbers do not lie.

 

Do you have statistics to back that up? Just wondering...

I used to mine in Verdantis and Serpent Spine Mines and with the changes they made to it where it is now an adventuring zone and NOT a mine, I know that everyone in my guild no longer goes into them with the exception to use SSM so we can go to the Rise.

Look at May and June 2017. That's when those mines got nerfed.

Then look at the anecdotal evidence. When I look at my friend's list, I hardly ever see people in Verdantis and Serpent's Spine Mines. The same is going to befall Elysium Mines.

Another thing I'd like to say is if you look at the months where there was a nice uptick in players, it was July and November 2017. Those were the months when the releases were about Artifacts.

The players want more so they can do more, and if they don't get it, they will look elsewhere.

 

Lets also throw out an RIP to Net Neutrality today. Hopefully Portalarium doesn't have to pay Comcast a bunch of money to get its traffic prioritized.

Actually im mining in Elysium right now, and to be honest I really like the new mine.
I was worried it would be a repeat of the past mine reworks, but there is actually a hell of a lot of ore here, and the fact that most of the mobs are on the top level means you can mine in relative peace with only one or two mobs guarding each node cluster. Ore per hour will probably be lower because the clusters are spread out a bit, but I think that Sea Wolf has done a great job on balancing combat vs ore reward.

I dont think it's fair to compare the new Elysium to Verdantis and Serpents, those place are NOT mines any more, and IMO should have their names changes to reflect this, or more have nodes added.

 

I was thinking that they should go back and cluster the existing nodes in those two mines. That may alleviate the complaints. It's a good compromise between the two interests.

 

Agreed, I'm really loving the new Elysium. I'm getting about the same amount of ore per hour as I was before, but I'm enjoying the process a lot more.

 

Yeah I agree, that is a great suggestion. Those clusters give the impression of a good ore seam like a real mine would have.

You can find gold ore in the Etceter Crag Mines.

 

And in Graff, but not quite as much. But Graff is a bit easier than Crag. At least, I can mine in Graff. I die quickly in Crag.

 

and some encounters with gold got more nodes too
(plains got 3 more gold nodes that i found in one instance -> so now 7 gold 2 copper before 4 gold 2 copper)
