In-game Portalarium Employee "business card" or "baseball card" collection

I had this idea about making special items in the game with no real value but valuable for collectors and fully tradable. Basically each Portalarium Employee gets a baseball card they can hand out to players that has their 'signature' on them and a base picture ... that says 'crafted by Darkstarr' or whoever it's a baseball or business card of...players can request them or devs give them out in-game to whoever they want or deem worthy to get one.

I know I'd like to get a collection to set out in my house to 'prove' that I met or saw a dev...talked to them. It's almost completely useless and might be a time sink to put something like this in-game but I love the novelty of it... and us fanboys can get our fix ... our very own dev touched and personalized item to show off to all our friends!

I am thinking even a book Published or a piece of blank paper by one of the devs and change the color of the text to make it stand out as a special item.

That's actually a fun idea.

 

Well, if we're talking about a base picture already, it would be cool if we had paintings of the entire dev team in character.

We already have LB and DarkStarr. ;> But we need Atos, Lum the Mad, Gorn, Berek, etc. I suggested this in an earlier thread, Dev portrait gallery. There could even be an in-game portrait gallery of famous Novians to house all of these for players to view.

As for the "baseball card" idea, they could also in addition to the large style portraits also add miniature paintings --- you know, in the style of devotional paintings

In support of the Royal Minter, @Sir Frank, I would envision coins or medallions ... and a jeweler's lens to look at them in a magnified display.

 

sure that works too, things are gttting carried with all the bobbleheads etc..but I like the coin idea na small baseball sized images..

So far I'm doing my collecting in the Friends List. My main rule is that I have to do it by right-clicking on them when they appear somewhere. Just typing the name into the FL invite box is way too easy. I still have four who haven't FL back, but that's okay if they don't understand. Or maybe they just don't want to break the game with a FL as big as LB's.

It would be nice if the FL showed nameplate colors so I could know which ones were guildies, as well as Porters.

That's a premium idea.
